Someday, when they are saying chocolate correctly, you will miss hearing chockit & will be glad you documented the cute way they pronounced things. I made her set it aside and told her she would have to wait until after dinner, a bath, and 30 minutes of Vision Therapy. She was sooooo patient.

After she completed all the tasks, we went to the table to get her candy...........and it was missing. Daddy had snatched up that special treat that she had been waiting for all evening. She was so understanding and Dad gave her something else chocolate. I remember a recording a while back of Ro playing piano over the baby monitor and talking to herself, and my husband swears she said some stuff in Chinese. She said something suspiciously like the Chinese word for well behaved, as though she was telling herself she was a good girl. I'm betting you'd be more than happy to have them retaining some Chinese at the cost of perfect American-English pronunciation.Elizabethhttp://greyautumnrain.livejournal.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-81387939738598278602009-11-03T13:53:25.707-08:002009-11-03T13:53:25.707-08:00I laughed when I read the post because I could ima...I laughed when I read the post because I could imagine sneaking one piece (if my hands were tied) a day in the hope that no one was watching...or counting.

Re the responses to JMO, my experience is to ignore that type of anon response and not to feed it with bullying type responses.
