If not, go to the CCAI website and click on the Haiti link to the website. Josh went to Haiti to deliver needed items to the creche. It has been so rough for all in Haiti, especially the creche, this past week.Beth and Shaynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12433884170426276611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-1340493334672241962010-01-20T07:57:06.889-08:002010-01-20T07:57:06.889-08:00I am glad to hear the girls thought Erwin was cool...I am glad to hear the girls thought Erwin was cool. Steps are being taken to cut through the red tape of adoptions that were in process prior to the earthquake.

These are children that had already been matched with their forever family.fuzzandfuzzlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03384943208016317509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-68663009624835954442010-01-19T19:18:21.436-08:002010-01-19T19:18:21.436-08:00I just want to say that I second the opinion of do...I just want to say that I second the opinion of donating to Heartline Ministries. We know of a local family who has been working with Heartine and have been living in Haiti for the past few years running 2 orphanages. I don't know if you know about the blog "Thingamababy", but if you don't it might be worth checking out. On the blog the author showed a doll called "Erwin" and his is a child-appropriate patient where kids can do surgery. I thought it was a unique toy and the author commented on how his daughter (maybe a little older than Ro and Ree) liked it. He included lots of photos. I don't know you outside of your blog, so if I am completely off base here, I apologize. When I saw it, though, I thought about your girls. Check it out at:http://www.thingamababy.com/baby/2010/01/surgicaldoll.html#more-6042

And, if you like it, leave me a comment at http://howdoyoumeasureayear.blogspot.com

LynnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-25370161859761526732010-01-19T10:51:28.146-08:002010-01-19T10:51:28.146-08:00Thank you for posting this!!!Thank you for posting this!!!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05046870363509253257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-68930081342819277912010-01-19T03:33:59.357-08:002010-01-19T03:33:59.357-08:00I can only imagine the psychological disaster of j...I can only imagine the psychological disaster of just "shipping" a Haitian orphan to the US. The majority of people are simply not psychologically equipped to bring into their home a young child abandoned under these circumstances, regardless of how well-intended an adoption may be. I would rather see money sent to build an infrastructure to help these young children in their homeland.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11218937.post-82029841079881282102010-01-18T19:43:08.866-08:002010-01-18T19:43:08.866-08:00Hi M3, I agree, I was paralized too.

We also get kind of dazed and I have heard some negative things about some of the big charities during my research.

I will check out the charity you listed, thanks for listing that. I also wanted to throw out there that Doctors Without Borders is also a great organization. Thanks again for this most important posting.

StaceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
