Well we made it to China and are all doing well and enjoying the trip. It seems crazy surreal to stand on the Great Wall and wish each other Merry Christmas.
The first morning, we loaded up the van and pointed it to the airport. And no, we are not “pack light” kind of people:
The whole crew, ready to go! That’s my brother Bobby and his wife Jane with us, and Ro is in the purple sweatsuit and Ree is in the blue one:
Settled on to the plane for our loooooooong, but comfy ride (thanks to TubaDad’s insane amount of miles logged in the sky this year we could use his upgrade tix for all six of us):
Made it! A self portrait of our somewhat weary but triumphant crew as we stepped into the Beijing, China airport:
Brrrrrr. It is COLD here. Colder than any weather we’ve ever been in. We brought the warmest clothes we own and are walking around in many, many layers:

Hey friend! Inquiring minds want to know. Were you sitting backwards or sideways on the plane? Did it feel any different?
ReplyDeleteI am curious about the plane as well, it looks very different from any cabin I've seen before.
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower of your blog for some time. I LOVE LOVE the pictures from your China trip and all over your blog! We are currently awaiting our I800A approval and the process is so long and slooowww that it helps to see in your pictures what lies for us at the end of this long journey!
