Ree has a new friend. Can anyone guess what she named him?
Go ahead, try to guess. Please!
She picked a name that just slays me. Seriously, every single time she says it TubaDad and I just about die trying not to laugh.
If it helps any, her other "best friends" are the big stuffed snowman she named Hammy (for reasons that have never been clearly explained to me) and the other stuffed snowman she named Penguin. This new friend is named after something she loves.
Let's see, to make this interesting, the winner gets a free sticker, pin, or magnet from our Salsa Store. Let the guessing begin!

Tuba nuts?
ReplyDeleteHi,
Long time reader. I think this is my first time posting.
Happy Belated Lunar New Year :-)
Is it "bacon"?
ReplyDeleteLisa
I don't think I could even guess... but she sure is cute with that duck!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I would've guessed a word starting with 'f' and rhyming with duck, but this is a family blog so I won't.
ReplyDeleteThis is a comment regarding your sidebar question area. Trust me, you are a great mum, it comes through quite clearly in your blog that you adore your kids and that is the most important part of being a good mum. I haven't met a mum yet who doesn't 'get it wrong', over react, or have to take a breather and hide in the office, it's the mum's that don't realise they ever make a mistake, or need to take a breathe that worry me.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, and give yourself a pat on the back,
Bev
I think it's "bacon" also. If I think about something else I will come back and post it.
ReplyDeleteYeyow bacon.
ReplyDeleteBacon?????
ReplyDeleteI was going to saw Bacon but since a lot of others have said it I will go with Cookie Dough.
ReplyDeleteHow about Ye-yeowy ie yellowie?
ReplyDeleteNeed more hints...I think bacon too but maybe quack, beak, pink, chocolate, cookie, hum, I'll have to think some more.
ReplyDeleteI guess tubanuts.
ReplyDeleteBaby Jesus. That's what Maggie keeps naming all of her dolls.
ReplyDeleteI guess she named the duck after one of you - mama, ro or daddy!
ReplyDeleteJust saying hello - from someone who secretly believes the true job of a Mom is to record every moment of childhood in photos and thus thinks you are one of the best!
ReplyDeletei guess YOUTUBE! =)
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm going with Ro. She named the duck Ro. She loves her sister, so that's my guess!
ReplyDeleteAnd, for what it's worth...you ARE a great mom. We all make mistakes and blow our fuses. It's what you do after that counts. Your hugs and apologies rock. And figuring out how to handle it better next time is even better.
Thanks for being honest with us. (About this AND that you fed your girls cookie dough for breakfast! I'm jealous!)
Cookie Dough?
ReplyDeleteTubanuts?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that she named him "bacon"
ReplyDeleteMy guess was Tuba Nuts. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be bacon. Isn't she the one who wanted bacon for pre-school instead of cupcakes for their birthdays.
ReplyDeleteHow about "Bucket" for the puke bucket that seems to be an ever present part of their play these days. Regardless, they are both cute as can be.
ReplyDeleteI have to go with bacon, she loves bacon. We laughed so much when they wanted to take bacon to school. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
ReplyDeleteBacon!
ReplyDeleteHow about Salsa? Or Taco?
ReplyDeleteWhat about crackers?
ReplyDeleteGrandma or Grandpa? I can't recall what they call their grandparents. I guess that only b/c the duck appears to have a little thatch of grey hair...like a grandparent.
ReplyDeletedisclaimer: pls let your parents know that I in no way think either looks like a duck or imply that they do! Nor do I know their hair situation and think I recall they they both have very nice hair! I was just trying to think like a kid, and the grey hair on the duck stood out.
Bacon??
ReplyDeleteMy is is just duck!
ReplyDeleteI named my yellow duck "chickadee" :-) so maybe she is cool like me...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Snowman.
ReplyDeleteTubanuts?
ReplyDeleteI would guess Tubanuts as well....I still laugh when I think oof them walking down the aisle at Target trying to find it!
ReplyDeletecookie dough... or tubanuts :)
ReplyDeleteyoutube?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is "yolk" or "egg yolk" -- although I have to say Shivani's prediction of "youtube" is my personal fave.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!

ReplyDeleteI was going to say bacon or RoRo, but now with so many guessing that I will guess Cafrine.
ReplyDeletequacker/cracker?
ReplyDeleteI vote for cookie dough!
ReplyDeleteFred
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me! I wanna know! Everyone already took my guesses, bacon & tubanuts so I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the reveal.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say, Tubanuts... but I'm sure thats been said.
ReplyDeleteHmmm..... Wela, or Grandbob. (I was going to say Lee-Anne... but that's a girls name!!! :)
Oh, and by the way, you're an amazing mom. A to the MAZING. And one day, if you're ever on the East coast or I'm on the West, and I see you guys, there will be an explosion of hugs and kisses and bloggy friend love.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing, Pussy. I am not trying to be rude. honest.
ReplyDeleteI see I'm not the first to think of it, but my first thought was bacon.
ReplyDeleteokay, I'd guess it's either yellow bird or cookie dough?
ReplyDeleteDoreen in Montreal single mom to Faith-Jiangxi & Mia-Sichuan
I'm guessing "bacon" -- which was the first guess that popped into my head before posting here and seeing others thought the same. Ah well. Great minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteShe named him Yellow Bacon Tubanuts. But she calls him Cookie for short.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie! Sara just named her Hello Kitty, "Shoes". Where do they get it?
Best,
Lori
Mommy to Sara and Kelly
Bacon
ReplyDeleteI am going with Ro, or Ro-Ro!
ReplyDelete8-)
Jennifer
I was going to say Bacon, but since everyone else thinks that, I'm going with my second guess. I think she's mispronouncing Duck, with an F or an S.
ReplyDeleteA little friend says F* for Truck and we all laugh hysterically, because he sure loves trucks!
Tuba Nuts?
