Some free advice
If you stumble across a water play area, and you don't have a change of clothes or even a towel, then for pete's sake do not—I repeat DO NOT—believe your children when they promise to just dip their toes in and not really get wet.

That sequence and especially that last photo - genius!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a silly mama you are.
ReplyDeleteThe old "I'll only get my feet wet" story, huh. And you fell for it -- hook, line and sinker (now you know where that expression comes from. And you thought it was fishing. HA!)
ReplyDeleteOh, well... they look like they had the most fun ever. Which doesn't do anything for your car upholstery, but... oh, well.

That's like believing that they only one 1 M&M - and they will split it! HAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteAt least they didn't tell you later, in a crowded store, that they peed in the fountain like Caroline did. Yep, she really did.

Been there and done that! We spotted one of those play areas at the weekend, and my mum wanted to let the kids 'look at it', she couldn't understand why I immediately headed in the other direction.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if you do have spare clothes, they are the most fun places to play!
Love the photos - so it was worth it... but I could have told you...
ReplyDeleteWe have had very sad H2/S2 on numerous occasions when we told them 'no, we don't have a towel'. Guess we should have said 'yes' and taken out the camera...
nest time
haha
ReplyDeleteHow FUNNY!!
ReplyDeleteI love their outfits!!
Very cute. I am betting that you will be putting a bag with towels and a change of clothes into your vehicle now and leaving it there "just in case".
ReplyDelete'Oh but mamma....the water just jumped out of the ground!'
ReplyDeleteHeh....SO FUN!! I think my favourite was captured in the end pics when the girls felt the water was triggered by giggles and screams of laughter!!
What a wonderful way to end this visit together! Watching your girls run, skip and jump through the water! Loved it!
Miss you like crazy!! xoxo
Love the pics and obviously you are a "great" mom.
ReplyDeletewela
LOVE it! I think that they had the right idea. Can't let an opportunity like that pass them by. and eventually, they were wet anyway, so why not have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the sequence of events. What joy they had on their faces.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable!! And totally something my Monkey would (and has done...over and over again.) I love that you let them do it and enjoyed it too!
ReplyDeletelol These are THE BEST pictures ever!! SO FUN!! You're a great mom!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteA lesson we too learned the hard way:-)
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I love those adorable shirts, by the way, they're too cute (even soaking wet)!
ReplyDeleteMade me smile! You will have to let us know where this is so we can check it out...with extra clothes of course!hahaha
ReplyDeleteLove that last shot.
ReplyDeleteGirls say: "FIERCE!"
Betcha they remember this one when they're older. Good on ya for letting 'em have the fun despite the practicalities.
You went to gilroy gardens without a change of clothes?? Have you learned nothing!:)
ReplyDeleteWe will meet you there sometime, btw...
Ah, that last photo...
ReplyDeletePriceless!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the cute little outfits too.
At least you had the camera. Who needs a towel when you have a camera!?!
ReplyDeleteBut they had fun and they will remember when they are older. That is what truly counts. Now get two thick beach towels, and two outfits in your Twinmobile. :) Wait, if you do that, we won't get fun pictures. OK, disregard my a$$vice.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they had a complete blast.....I LOVE their outfits!!
ReplyDeleteI bet it was a soggy ride home:)

Those are awesome photos. We went to the pool today and my daugther just sat at the edge but as she usually hates the pool I thought that was brave. Next time she will probaly fling herself in like those two. :-)
ReplyDeleteI bet you can't stop grinning when you think of it. And, ahem, were YOU completely innocent and dry when it was all over? And PLEASE tell us where you found those adoreable tiedyed shirts!!!! Thanks ; )
ReplyDeleteSpontaneity--where great memories are made!
ReplyDeleteWhen our girls were 3 years old we came across a water park in our travels. We let them play in it in their underwear and used their clothes to dry them off after. We laughed so hard watching them.
The photos of your 'loving life' girls are beautiful.

The little tie-dye t-shirts are from Nordstrom. They're in stock right now. Catherine and I got them about a week ago for the girls' school pictures and then decided not to use them, but they were cute enough and affordable enough not to get returned.
