Just your normal, average January day

We were riding bikes at the park and Ro and Ree kept saying they were "sweating to deff," which was a little bit of an exaggeration seeing as how it was only 59 degrees, but I was walking around in just a t-shirt, so I guess it couldn't be considered freezing or anything. On the way home, they asked me to turn on the air conditioning really, really high, and then Ro said we should go to the pool today. Ree thought that was a mighty fine idea. I told them there was no way, no how we were going to the pool today. That it was a completely ridiculous idea to swim in January. Ahem. Well... IMG_1315LR IMG_1318LR IMG_1329LR IMG_1338LR IMG_1340LR IMG_1344LR I probably don't even need to mention that we were the only ones at the pool, do I? And yeah, they had a ball. PS: For the record, my body did not touch that water. The whole family knows that I don't get in the pool unless the weather is at least in the 80s, preferably the 90s. The girls totally accept that rule, although they obviously don't subscribe to it. Also, TubaDad is in Massachusetts right now, and his high temp for the day might have reached 30 degrees. So I'm thinking that these pictures are either going to make him smile really big or really piss him off. Fifty fifty chance...

Boy am I envious that it was warm enough...at least for two 4 year olds...to go swimming.

That's too funny. I thought we were doing well to take my daughters new bike out for a spin today. Sure there's still snow everywhere but you gotta take advantage of 30° day in January.

btw, we bought her the Italtrike & we both love it!

  4. Ahh...I'm just lauging my head off here. (And...ahem....it's way below freezing here...just so you know.)

Your twinados really picked the right parents. I don't know too many who could keep up with them.

    I always enjoy their antics.

  9. Look at them jumping off the side with wild abandon. Last time I was at the pool with your guys they were still a little cautious. And I'm with you. I don't get in the pool unless the air temp is in the high 80's!

Here in Oz, in January, it is peaking some days at 40 celsius so the girls would be 'sweating to deff' everyday and also swimming every day. :)

  17. Ha! What they can convince you into doing!

I'm with you with the not swimming until the water is really warm. I'd rather be sweaty than cold.

  18. Are you kidding me? I don't think we have broke 32 degrees. You lucky bunch. But, I do have to admit, my body wouldn't have touched the water either. 59 degress is a bit cold, but to a zealous 4 year old....hey, its great!!

I love the tattoos!!!! Hilarious. And I would also be in "observe will only jump in to save" mode. They are so darn cute! If the AFV video is the one of them spinning in your house I will find a way to get to LA to vote. I love that clip.

    Smileyalways!

Enjoy the weather enough for the both of us...I'm staring out at snow. I can't believe you were just snow skiing and now you are swimming. Your state rocks.
