Let’s see, on Tuesday our twelve awesome relatives from Texas came to stay with us, on Wednesday we went to Gilroy Gardens and then the emergency room after Ree broke her arm, on Thursday we went to Monterey, on Saturday we peeked in an open house just to see how they did their big bonus room since we were considering adding on to our house and kind of fell in love with the place, on Tuesday we all met with the girls’ new Kindergarten teacher, on Wednesday the girls started Kindergarten and I signed up for the PTA, on Thursday Ree had her checkup with her ortho doc and got the so-far-so-good signoff on her big pink cast, on Saturday we entered into contract to buy the house we had first seen last week, and on Sunday we started getting our house ready to sell.
Eeeps.
How has your week been?
WOW that is a crazy week! Hope the girls are enjoying Kindergarten.
ReplyDeleteWow, nothing that crazy! 7 days in the Outer Banks, NC, returned to stressed cats shedding everywhere and pounds of laundry. Kindergarten starts Tuesday, and I came out here to look for creative lunch ideas. Sara's school only has full day K. I see me skewering fruits and and veggies in the near future.
ReplyDeleteHope the arm is feeling better!
Wow, when you guys do something, you go all out!
ReplyDeletewow! wow! buying, selling, moving! how exciting! I'll be sure to send lots of prayers your way. Even without that, you have had a busy two weeks.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the way life goes....all or nothing!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the houses. We have our house on the market and found one we love too, but need to get this sucker sold and soon!
Hope you have a great week. We start pre-K this week...exciting stuff :)
Holy cow! Can't top that! Can't even come close! Congrats...and good luck selling yours!
ReplyDeleteCrazy week indeed! I want to see house pics!! :-)
ReplyDeleteJulie
WOW!!! That IS a crazy week. Can't wait to hear about the new house.
ReplyDeleteUh...yikes. Nothing like piling it all on at once, huh? We've been having that kind of a summer ourselves. And R is already shopping around for Halloween costumes (sigh)...I think it's Belle this year. Happy kindergarten days and hope Ree's arm is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteM.
Whoa! Enjoy having your house on the market! (LOL) Ours has been on the market since April 17. I think we kept it in show condition every time we left for about a week. Since then we scramble whenever there's a showing. I came back after the last showing and found one of my undergarments handing behind the master bathroom door. I guess I could have done a better job! Good luck to you and I hope yours sells fast!!!
ReplyDeleteNeat! Hope to visit you in your new house next year!
ReplyDeleteAnd, it's smarter to move than to renovate (sorta).
Wow! Congratulations!! How exciting!! Is it near your current house?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are cray-zee!! Crazy-Cool. Same at our house - did you see our referral came, M3?? Just wanted to give you a heads up b/c I know that you've been a bit overyourhead! I'll never forget your referral phone call - and the flowers that I brought you sitting there on the table as you got word of your beautiful "pair"!! xo
ReplyDeleteWOW.. a new house!? Hope there will still be a Cafreen room.
ReplyDeleteI finally (now that Tate has a fashion opinion) have a fashion friday picture to share... so let's do a fashion friday this week??? Pretty please?
Jeepers....my head is spinning. You take good care now.
ReplyDeleteWe've had our house on the market a couple of months now (we've outgrown it!). My tips on kids and selling a house? Pack up all their toys! Seriously. I let each of my kids pick 3-4 toy series they couldn't live without (series=all Star Wars figures, or all Littlest Pet Shop figures... not ONE toy), that would be easy to keep in a bin and everything else got packed away. It takes no time at all to pick it all up if we get short notice that someone wants to see it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you!
Ditto! Moved to our new home Friday. Went to a leadership retreat for my church Saturday. Disneyland today on Sunday. Back to school/work tomorrow. Dad coming from out of town Tuesday. Sister's b-day Wednesday. Don't want to think any further than that!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new home. It's so huge to move, but then so wonderful once you do.
Similar to yours, busy wise. Thanks for sharing, very exciting news- new house!
ReplyDeleteGood luck w/ it all!
Wow! That is a lot!!!!!!! I am shocked! I hope you guys are able to sell your house fast!
ReplyDeleteWow! Very busy indeed. Good luck with the move. We're moving this Thursday. We put our house on the market in late June and had an offer three weeks later.
ReplyDeleteYeah!!! So happy to hear the house deal went through! It's a big job in front of you getting ready to sell and move but I know you're super excited about the new one too. Wheee!!! You're getting a bonus room! Can't wait to see pics and hear more about your new home!!
ReplyDeleteHow are the kiddos doing in Kindergarten?
how exciting!!!!! can't wait to see the new digs!!!
ReplyDeleteWowza!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your new house! :o)
You win the Crazy Week Award hands down! Good luck with the house project and hope your kindergarteners are loving school!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new house...will it require the girls to change school?
ReplyDeleteHi guys, the new house is in the same school district, so no changes for the little babes (other than adjusting to that big huge backyard, heh).
ReplyDeleteOh, and the girls are loving Kindergarten so far! Whew. They love their teacher. And I think the fact that the Kindergarten day is so short here helps (3 hours and 20 minutes). They're pretty busy the whole time and never really have time to get tired or bored.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the new house!! How exciting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad Ree is doing well also.

Wow. Nothing like doing everything at once, huh?
ReplyDeleteAnd now your house is going to be on the market too? Your house is beautiful. It will sell quickly.
And heck, at least you're not bored.
Oh my goodness, my head is spinning! Very exciting, though!!
ReplyDeleteAmyesq
Oh, wow...that is a crazy week! Good luck with the houses, both of them...

WOW!!! So cool! Hope it all goes quick and fast! Glad to see it is still close! Clark said he will be glad to help Tubadad move the play structure! (not what he said but I know what he meant! haha!)
ReplyDeleteMiss S is loving kinder too!! We will have to get together soon and catch up on all of this!
HUGS to you all!!!
Wow, thats crazy, but exciting at the same time. Good Luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI pity you having to keep your house picked up to show it with the girls and all your fun activities and I mean this in the NICEST way!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and can not wait to hear how Kindergarten is going and all the fun things they are doing:)
Oh my gosh!! Good luck with the sale and buy, can't wait to see some piccies! Maisie and I may need to plan a visit once the dust settles.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a crazy fun week! This week is starting out a doozie for us! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on selling the house!
ReplyDeleteUm... not as busy as YOURS, that's for sure. We've had a crazy August, but no broken bones. Can't wait to hear about all of your new adventures - and to see pictures.
ReplyDeleteGood grief. You could give the Army a run for their money! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck selling your house. It's been a tough market to sell, I hope you have better luck then I've been having. (going on 3 years. Anyone want a lovely townhouse?!)
oh, you have to buy that saint statue, saint Joseph I think, and bury it in your yard. People swear this helps sell a house.
ReplyDeleteStace
holy moly I guess you will have plenty of room for us to visit--HEHEHE!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new house! You will be taking your totally awesome playhouse with you, won't you? As much as I don't like moving, I do love the simplifying of possessions that goes along with it- ALMOST makes me want to move every few years (oh yeah, I guess I could just get rid of things when I don't need them, instead...). Have fun (and I know you will!).
ReplyDeleteThe Plasma's twin is called the Wiggle Racer and we have the same one in red and it did mark our floors some as well. But guess what? My daughter played with one at her SWI in China! She knew EXACTLY what it was when we got it. Cool, eh? I learned of a few SWI's that had them throughout China and more kiddos were familiar with them!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me!?! What a week. I was stunned with the casual mention of the broken arm, but then the NEW house!!! Holy cow. You like to go for the gusto, don't ya?!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything!
