We're TubaDad (laid-back taco-eating tuba-player from Texas) and M3 (excitable, artsy chocoholic from California). We adopted our beautiful twin girls from Hubei, China in Oct 2006 and this blog is about our lives with the twinados, Ro and Ree. Cheers!
Hope that you are having lots of fun. Which Great Wolf Lodge? If you are at the one in Ohio by some chance, then you are about 3 miles from my house. Kim
M3, a question just popped into my head when looking at the girls, their pretty, colorful dresses and ear headbands. Do they pack for themselves when ya'll are traveling? Since they have definite opinions about what goes with what and what accessories are needed, how could you as "just the mom" ever hope to have packed all the right stuff?!
I was starting to get worried! I have followed you for a long time from Japan, first time commenting! Hope everyone is having a lot of fun, waiting for a week worth of pictures! I really really really missed my daily dose of Ro and Ree!!
Hey guys, it was the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington. And the problem now is that I have way too many fun pics. I'll try to whittle them down and get a post up tonight.
Gramma: They packed for themselves on this trip, although I've packed for them on plenty of others. Just depends how helpful they're feeling or how last-minute we are. For this one, I put a suitcase on each bed and they got all excited about picking outfits, bathing suits, jewelry, stuffed friends, whatever. Oh, and they usually coordinate outfits with each other when packing for a trip, but don't do it any other time, which is interesting to see.
Catherine: I saw that!!! We are definitely going back to one of these lodges, it was so fun, so you just never know!
Sorry to have worried everyone, I didn't mean to take such a long blog break, it just kinda snuck up on me.
Glad you were having fun! Always love the girls' style. The shoes grabbed me today. Do those shoes run wide? My petite Jiangxi girl has wide feet and is tired of the Mary Janes at Stride Rite. She would love some ballet style sparkle flats!
We have such parallel lives. We're taking Sara & Kelly there tomorrow as as a surprise on Sara's 6th birthday. They think we're going to the movies and to dinner! We went over Spring Break this year...SO much fun.
I LOVE Great Wolf.... but please don't tell me you were at the one in Grand Mound. Because that's just a short drive from me, and I'll be totally bummed if I missed out on an opportunity to meet your princesses.
Want to make a big difference in the world? Give one small child the benefit of Foster Care. Ro and Ree were in foster care and it changed their lives. Read more about it or read about other charities that help children.

ReplyDeleteWe live in the land of hotel/water parks. We've stayed at a couple Great Wolf Lodges. Other than truly-awful food, they're a lot of fun!
