Apparently Wela and BobBob are having a cocktail party

Ro and Ree are camping out in my folks’ backyard tonight, so they packed a bunch of vital stuff, grabbed some sleeping bags, and donned silky sequined “camping” attire that makes me think that my folks are having some kind of a fancy party that we don’t know about.

Have fun little babes. Can’t wait to hear about your adventure tomorrow. And I also can’t wait to hear see you packed in those bags. Any guesses what’s in them?

PS 1:  Shelley, do those little Hello Kitty bags look familiar? You gave them to the girls on their first Disney trip back when they were teeny two-year-olds and they’re still loved. And Linda, I know you remember those beautiful backpacks that you made for the girls. They adore them.

DSC_1698LRPS 2: Ree won’t be the only 2nd grader with all her baby teeth any longer. Yesterday she finally agreed to go to the dentist and let her yank those baby teeth that weren’t budging even though the adult teeth had grown up fully behind them. I didn’t realize until it was over that I was stressed and holding my breath the whole time. Ugh. One little tooth was wiggly and easy to remove, but the big one (actually two little ones completely fused together) was kind of hairy and still had a root kind of hooked around the adult tooth.

  1. My son is 12 and starting 7th grade this year. He still has 9 baby teeth that have not fallen out yet. We are going to the oral surgeon to have 4 of them/long roots removed this week. He will be sedated. Better for her to have those last few removed now then to wait as long as we did. Just kept thinking they'd come out. And, they didn't. She was brave to do that! I understand the nerves...I am starting to feel them already for Kyle! I am smiling at wondering what was "packed" for camping! Likely lots of stuffed animal friends and an assortment of beautiful clothes!!!

Have you seen the twins on the New Day blog? They remind me so much of Ro and Ree! http://newdayfosterhome.blogspot.com/2012/07/ava-and-nora-twins.html

    1. I have seen them! It's a little crazy. Does anyone know where they're from? I know one of the commenters (and it wasn't me, haha) asked if they were from Hubei, but I never saw an answer.

  7. M had two teeth removed tonight ... she did really well at the dentist but as the novacain was wearing off later tonight she started crying pretty hard. She said "I want my teeth back and I am never going to the dentist or orthodontist again!" ... ruh roh!!

  8. How fun! I never go camping without my sequined dress and heels...... way to go girls! Have fun at home while they are away. Are you going to wear something fancy while they are gone too or is it PJs?

  9. Hello. Do you remember where you bought the skirt with the sequins? Our little Harper will positively cease to exist if we don't find one for her. We live in a small town and I have been everywhere!

    1. Hi Martie, it's from the Children's Place and they have them in the stores right now. Here's the link in case you don't have that store nearby. It's avail in silver, blue, and purple, but it looks like they're running out of some sizes.
