Has anyone tried the new Florabella Colorplay actions for Photoshop yet? They’re fun. I rejected this picture of Ree’s horse from our last lesson, then decided to rescue it from the trash and play around with it.
So I went from this:
To this:
I cropped it, cloned out some extra details, ran Clean Base (adjusted opacity), ran Hazy Haze (adjusted opacity), and added some texture to the background (added it to the whole photo then wiped some of it off the face). Neat! Next I’ll try playing around with some pics of people.
Boy, you really see the horse behind the photo. I love seeing the textures on the horse's face. Great job.
ReplyDeleteNice job, M3! Turned out so cute :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, LOVE the Colorplay set... it's fabulous!
I love her new actions!
ReplyDeleteHer stuff is cool, and she is a friend of mine. So fun.
ReplyDeleteVery fun. I'll send you a picture of me you can work on. Just take off my wrinkles.
ReplyDeleteHi - have you tried any of her other actions? Not sure which one to get and if I should get those special bundles. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi, I also have the original Classic Workflow, and I bought the bundled Lightflare Overlays with Colorplay. You definitely wouldn't need both Classic and Colorplay if you're anything like me (non-professional photographer). I haven't used the light flares yet but will play around with them soon (after I figure out how to do it, haha). The textures I think I got back in 2009 and just haven't really used them very much until now. They're fun, and I can see using them a lot for background work. I'm just a Photoshop hack -- I play around with things and get them to do what I want, but there are probably so many ways to do it better/easier. I have to say though, that the Florabella actions are very user-friendly.
DeleteHi M3,
ReplyDeleteDo you prefer Classic or Color Play? Does one have more uses? Thanks!
Hi, I'll post a few side by side shots to show what I can do with each one.
DeleteThanks M3 - looking forward to seeing them!
