This moment of silence brought to you by Barnes & Noble

A trip to the bookstore brings them such joy (and buys me unlimited shopping time, albeit with limited cart room).

    1. That pic was at the next store -- I had to pick up a few things and asked the girls if they'd mind going if they could "ride and read." They couldn't get in that cart fast enough!

  5. ok-- i love books... it's an addiction...i listed my kids book bucket list for 2013 on my blog-- but here are some books that my kiddos R and R's age love to read....

Geronimo Stilton series-- there's like 80 of them- and they are so fun.

Please tell me they've read the Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary--- you must read these to them-- they will love Ramona.

Any book by Ron Roy-- all mysteries-- very fun.

:) sorry- saw the barnes and Nobles and just went to my happy place:)

    1. Fun, we'll check those out. Making a library trip this week and haven't looked for the Geronimo Stilton or Ramona Quimby ones yet.

Ree is reading all the Ron Roy A to Z Mysteries right now -- got turned on to those at school. That's what is piled on her side of the cart.

  6. I recognize those books!!! B&N, complete with a Stage, a train set, and an endless supply of Rainbow Fairy and Berenstain Bear books. You don't have to ask my girls twice!

    1. Do you guys have PJ storytime also? That's pretty fun, although lately that the girls just like getting to wear jams to the store and run over to their book sections without even pausing for the story.

  7. Love this! I keep forgetting to go to our local 'Chapters' for an outing with Hannah. She loves it when we pop in to buy something and I always think, 'we need to come back when we have nothing to do' but then...forget. Oops! Love to see your kiddos lost in books!

    1. Not on this trip -- on this one they picked up Rainbow Magic books (Ro) and A to Z Mysteries (Ree) -- but they read about and studied MLK in school.

  11. You have some advanced readers! The A to Z Mysteries can be a challenge for some young readers, but lots of fun! I totally agree with the other comment about Geronimo Stilton books. Those are a blast to read! I'd also suggest you reading to them the kate d'camillo books such as The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and The Tale of Desperaux. I love books and spend hours at Barnes and Noble for fun!! Of course, I am a reading teacher/specialist so my job also revolves around books. The cart full of readers is fantastic!!

  12. Hi Mary-Mia. Sorry I couldn't find your new address for a Christmas card this year. The girls look amazing, as always, what adventures you have had. It all goes by so quickly, gotcha days are whizzing by at the speed of light! Warmest regards, Kat, Colin, Sophia and Keenan
