The 4th of July was fun, fun, fun this year. (Of course it was, as always in our neighborhood, celebrated on the 3rd.) But before donning our red white and blue, Catherine and I had a critical mission – I needed a new purse and she (foolishly? bravely?) agreed to help me find it. We loaded up the portable electronics and called the girls downstairs to hop in the van. Hm, seems their idea of regular shopping clothes didn’t quite match ours.
They were so happy sitting on the floor of the purse department in Nordstrom, that when we (shockingly) settled on a purse within thirty minutes they weren’t ready to go. Cuties.
There were a few more costume changes and whole bunch of pre-party baking and decorating: 
And then we were ready for the festivities!
Our whole party (70 or so folks) walked over to watch the neighborhood fireworks (LOVED them), then walked back to our house to continue the party. I had to laugh when a bunch of the kids were still going strong close to 1am.

DeleteI was so excited to see all the girls in their Wela Wear....and Dusty and Tippy with their fun scarves. I think you got a brown purse....long strap to wear as cross body, lots of pockets.... I LOVE that Catherine went with you again!!! The big question - are you keeping the purse or will you be returning it?!!!!!
