It will all be worth it, it will all be worth it, it will…

I think the housing-related stress levels might have actually peaked this weekend. I’m not going to lie, it was hellish. But hey since it was the worst it can possibly get, doesn’t that at least indicate a gradual deceleration of angst going forward?

Whatever… We signed a rental contract on the new house and moved just a few backyard items over (while waiting for all the financing to be finalized), and when I see the girls blissfully enjoying their new backyard, with its built-in twinado racetrack, well then I breathe a little easier and think this will all be worth it someday.

And if the backyard frolicking doesn’t calm me down, the singing does. They learn these cute songs in Kindergarten that just slay me. See if you can listen to this one without cracking at least one little grin.

Ree is wearing her ballet costume because they just enrolled in a little ballet class. Ree picked out a light blue outfit with white shoes, and Ro picked a pink one with pink shoes.

Alrighty, off to pour a(nother) glass of wine and think how nice it will be when the issues around money, banks, brokers, buyers, houses, moving, and construction are finally done -- UGH, just typing this list is started to stress me out. Better plan: I’m going to curl up on the couch with a nice glass of wine and think really hard about bunny rabbits. Sweet, fluffy, bunny rabbits.

  6. I hope it gets easier for you guys soon. Hey, I'm coming up for a quick visit the first week in November and I'm trying to figure out a way to see you, if even just for a quick lunch. Don't know if I can swing it(or if you'll even be around). I'll e-mail you.

Your "new" backyard looks huge! Congratulations. When do you officially move into the new house?

  11. Oh, I hear you. (I don't think I'm ever moving again. They'll just have to carry me out of this house.)

I'm having "view envy" though with your new backyard. Wow. What a sight to enjoy every day.

Hang in there...it'll be over soon. Meanwhile....cheers!

  13. That song is so precious! There is no way I have enough brain cells to memorize those many animals and their names. So cute.

For whatever you have to do to get that view...wow, it might be worth it. You won't get a view like that in Indiana! Wow...drink the wine and wake up when that awesome back yard is all yours!

    Best Wishes,

    Lori

  14. Great new yard! And just think--soon it will all be over! And you can think of me, envying you, because my house has been on the market since April, we are both commuting WAY TOO FAR until it sells, and leaving it in show condition w/ a 6-yr-old and a 2-yr-old has been near impossible. We had a surprise showing yesterday while I was at work with dishes in the sink. I give up.

  15. Love the racetrack! but the car seems to be straining. They need one each for real racing fun! My Black-eyed Peas have been taking ballet for 2 years now. Five Nutcrackers this season - can't wait.

  16. Love the videos! That "racetrack" in the new back yard is great. MJ would love to ride her bike on something like that. And you will survive all of this, and it will all be worth it. :-)

  17. M3, If you or any of your readers have the time to tell me the name/brand of the soft dolls with the removal insides that you showed Ro and Ree enthralled with playing doctor,I would be very appreciative.
    Thank you.
I love the view of the mountains in your new back yard. The girls have become experts steering their powered car!
    Thanks,Adele

  18. Thanks guys!

Anon and Stace: We're scheduled to move on the 28th (yipes!).

Tarcoulis: Oh man, I can just picture the fun they'd have racing each other with two cars... Hope TubaDad doesn't read this!

Gramma: The dolls are called Erwin the Little Patient dolls and I ordered them from a site in the UK and paid to have them shipped here. It's listed here on Amazon, but currently out of stock. I ordered them from Wild and Wooly but it looks like they're out of stock right now too (sorry!!).

  19. Love the race track and LOVE the zoophonics song! I used zoophonics in my classroom when I taught kinder so this brings back memories. My kids that didn't know their letters and sounds picked them up quickly with this program!

You photo-shopped those mountains in, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?! Maybe I should paint mountains on the brick wall that my backyard faces... worth a try... lol

  27. What a perfect house for you with a race track for the girls in the back. The pic of them in the trees just cracked me up!

The video of ballet and their adorable singing had me smiling my face off from the moment Ree turned around and showed us her adorable wings and then Ro stayed so calm as she got bopped with the wings. Just way too cute!

Not long now my friend and the move will be behind you and you'll be enjoying that glass (or 2) of vino on your back patio and the girlies zip around in their car. Bliss...pure bliss!

  28. Oh that song! Totally made me giggle. Of course, my favorite part was about the penguin and the little waddle the girls did. :)
