Ro and Ree love school, but none of us were ready for summer to end this year. The girls say it was the best summer ever, and I have to agree.
Wishing everyone a great back-to-school experience.
PS: Just mentioned that the girls couldn't audition for the school play because it was the upper-grade play and Ree casually and without any thought for the extreme and immediate angst it would cause me replied "Uh, we ARE upper graders now." (sob!)
Oh my goodness, they look so different and grown up. Happy days ahead. wela
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable! Fourth grade is a good year. I just can't believe how all these "babies" have grown up so fast. I suppose that's going to happen to my baby, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteOHMYGOSH! those bags are 1/3 of their heights! So crazy! they are adorable, as usual. A1
ReplyDeleteThey are growing up! Hope they had a great first day of school!
ReplyDelete4th grade?! How in the world are they that old?! Marin is halfway through his 1st week of full days at Kindergarten! He loves his school, but man is it an adjustment to have to be on a schedule! Your 2 are cute as ever!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th grade Ro and Ree... where has the time gone?
ReplyDeleteHoly Mother fo G*d. where are the Salsa twins and who are these big kids???? Have a fabulous year in 4th grade.
ReplyDeleteWe're reading the last chapter of Princess Academy tonight. Is it bad that I'm stopping myself from sneaking upstairs to figure out the ending while they are at school?
ReplyDeleteWow....they have changed so much over the summer. No wonder you're "sobbing"!! Happy 4th grade!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a year of academic, social, and emotional growth. :-)
ReplyDeleteLike the backpacks, where did you find those? Long time reader... Also have a 4th grader. Sniff sniff. Have a good year!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie, they're J World Sunrise backpacks that we get from Amazon. They come in about 30 patterns. (They also have Sundance models, with a padded laptop/iPad pouch in case you're carrying electronics).
DeleteWow. How time flies. Yes summer has been way too short and I'm not looking forward to the normal school routine returning for us either.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness we started on a Wednesday so we at least have the weekend to recover and adapt a little more to normal.
DeleteBest of luck in the new school year! Are you still teaching?
ReplyDeleteDebbz
Debbz, yes! Am Kindergarten TA in same classroom as last year - in the girls' district, which means we get the same days off.
DeleteSo cute. Love the backpacks. I can't believe how grown up they look.
