The infamous brown envelope from China!
Hello, what's this? We came home from a day at the beach to find THE BROWN ENVELOPE from China in our mailbox. Yes, the one everyone gushes about on the adoption newsboards. What is it you ask? Um. Well. No clue.
It kind of hints (in really confusing legal-type jargon) that China knows we're adopting and we are cordially invited to stop by and give them money for the visa while we're in town but otherwise they prefer to work only with our agency thank you very much. There's some stuff written in Chinese too, which is slightly more clear. Heh!
Yes, as you can see by the picture, we're having chips and salsa to celebrate. No we don't have it everyday, it's just a coincidence that we were having it again today. And no, it's not my dad's homemade salsa. Sadly, we are making do with storebought salsa while we wait for the folks to stop eating it long enough to make a delivery.
If anyone knows why the heck people get so excited when they get THE BROWN ENVELOPE, please enlighten us. Oh, and we were just voted Blog of the Week in a local newspaper. Cool! That means more salsa celebrating, dontcha think?
