We've been to see Santa countless times already this season, well to be honest it's not countless but I'm not admitting the real number. Anyhow, we haven't done any planning, so each visit has been haphazard and last-minute. I guess I should say "spontaneous," yeah that sounds much better, our Santa visits have been spontaneous. Heh. So wouldn't you know it, when I finally plan ahead and dress the girls in fancy little Christmas outfits to go see the man in red he's on a break for an hour and then there's a line that winds around the mall. Oh well, here are our little sweeties and Santa's knee (in the upper right corner of the picture if you look carefully). Good enough!
(
Can you tell who's who? Their facial expressions are "sassy" for Ree, and "sweet" for Ro. If that hint doesn't help, Ree is in the white top and Ro is in the black one.)
It was my dad's bday yesterday, so we played hooky and went on a little "snow or bust" roadtrip. This time going even higher so we found enough white stuff to sled in. Whoohooo! The girls were absolutely thrilled, and playing in the snow and sledding with your granddaughters must be one of the best ways to spend a bday. Happy birthday dad! Here are the pics, Ro is in the white coat and Ree is in the black one, my dad's the one wearing a big grin.

There probably hasn't been a better bday for your dad than sledding with the grandkids!! Would be the same for my dad!
ReplyDeleteTheir outfits are adorable, you dress them in the cutest clothes. Tell your dad happy birthday from me, mine was yesterday, too :)

Looks like ya'll had a great time. You know now the girls are gonna wanna play in the snow more often. Looks like the weather channel is a toddlers best friend now!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the girls(and santa's knee)!! Sarah wore the same skirt for her visit to Santa!!

Come to Spokane....we have snow. Lots of snow.
ReplyDeletehappy holidays :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of the girls wardrobes. I wish I had clothes like theirs.
ReplyDeletewhere did you find all that snow that you could actually get too?
ReplyDeleteHey, how about nut rolls? To be colored they'd have to be dipped in something, but I'm sure that's out there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a tube of nuts...
Happy Birthday to Grandpa !
ReplyDeleteSnow much fun!! Did you teach the girls how to make snow angels. Still one of my favourite things to do although it's been a couple of years since I made one. They're such fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to spend a birthday! Happy Birthday BobBob!!
They look so beautiful, all dressed up. I'm loving the snow pictures. Looks like so much fun. Thanks for the Christmas card. It was adorable(as usual). I am getting mine in the mail tomorrow. You should receive it just in time for Christmas. Organized and on time, I am. Heh.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Ok, I just consulted with my better half (T), about the Tubanuts and made her go back to the original post to catch up. We came up with, J: they clearly know what a Tuba is, and so either it is a nut that looks like a tube (curls around) - like a cashew. But it's pink, hmmm, kinda throws that out. T: maybe it's something that's pink, like yogurt covered. Maybe yogurt covered pretzels. Pink AND curls around. Just food for thought. jntskid
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN day!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best mom as you are always doing something fun.
looks like the girls had a wonderful time!!
ReplyDeleteWe love the picture of the girls with Santa's knee ~ so cute!
would love to know the actual number of times the girls have visited Santa :)
Where on earth did you find those skirts? they are sooooo cute!!
Angela & Ella
Just the best looking Christmas elves I've seen. Darling skirts. And Santa looks stunning. Good shot of him. Hee hee hee COme to our house for snow. We have had 3 days of it now. I think we have 5 inches. More tonight and Sunday. Maybe I could send you a yard full in a big freezer box.
ReplyDeleteJust looking at your girls makes me smile. What a nice way to start my morning!
ReplyDeleteHi guys, the skirts are from www.childrensplace.com. I got them months ago with Christmas in mind, and noticed they've been massively discounted right now, so if anyone wants one you can get one for $5.99. They're a neat velvet material, and Ro and Ree are wearing the 4T size, which fits them perfectly. (They're 36.5 inches tall and 31.5 to 33.5 pounds right now)
ReplyDeleteWe have the same outfits except a black top. We wore them to see santa as well....but didn't actually even get to see him!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!!! And it looks like the girls had a blast in the snow! We should all have that much fun once in a while! :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, so after some consideration and consultation of my children, what if you take twizzlers and roll them up in curls and circles and make your own "tuba nuts" since the picture kind of looks like that!!
ReplyDeleteYou can always fool them!
Cathy
What a blessing that your father is in such great shape and so active. I say this with sadness since mine is not. Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour Dad looks like he is about 20 in some of those pics!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Bob-Bob!
