Mall rats with attitude (and gum)
We hit the mall tonight, bought new sunglasses, and grabbed a little "chicken on a stick" for dinner. Ree wore her pink glitter belt as a headband, which raised a few eyebrows, and both girls slung their purses around their necks "just like mama." Ro kept saying she had gum for everyone after we ate. And I'll be danged if she didn't open some secret purse compartment and pull out 4 little sticks of gum at the end. When I told her that was really sweet to share with everyone, she admitted "I eated one piece in the playroom but I maked sure I have four left for my family." Hee!
A few more pics are here.

OK that headband is very cool! I think Ree should be in the "In style" magazine for that look. She looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh they are sooooooo cute.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that pic, I flashed forward to their teens and said, "OMG, you're doomed!"
ReplyDeleteHehehe...Johnny beat me to it. That's exactly what I thought about :0)
ReplyDeleteYou have the neatest, sweetest kids. (Though I still think your hair is going to fall out from stress when they hit their teenage years.)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a long time reader of your blog and have a favor to ask. Could you let me know where to find your bananna bread recipe? I printed it out, but lost it. I have been looking through the archives, but can't find it! I have some very over-ripe bannanas and want to make some bread. By the way, you need to make a section of all your recipes, the peanut butter cookies were divine and I can't wait to try the chili.
Thanks!
Stace
I am so impressed that a three year old would plan ahead for a treat for her family not to mention that Ro knows how to count, work on a math problem and pretty much do subtraction all on her own. "Well, let's see.. I have five pieces of gum and if I eat one now,I'll still have four pieces left. One for each of us after dinner!" Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that is just too freaking adorable! What a little math genius!
ReplyDeleteI agree, how smart of her, and generous! They are both too cute. I too can see a glimpse of what the teenage years is going to look like for you ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are so stinkin cute!! I love this look...Ree might be onto something with the belt as a headband.....possibly a new fashion trend!!

Hi Stace, the banana bread recipe is here.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! And thanks for the suggestion, I'll play around a little with the recipes to see what would make for easy searching.
Ok, this photo is one of my FAVORITES :)
ReplyDeleteDo you ever wonder what we did with so much free time before two daughters entered the picture? I spent the better part of breakfast convincing Sara that tights weren't a prudent choice on a 17 degree day, and finally wrangled her into a skirt and leggings. I compromised with a 3 year old. Blah!
ReplyDeleteLoving the belt! She is soooo vogue.
Indiana Lori

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie to think to bring gum for her family. And a smartie too, to count out four exactly. You must be a proud Momma. (even if they are wearing belts as headbands!! LOL) Your girls just crack me up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie!! I think Em would have eaten all the gum in one sitting - with no thought of Liam! HAHA!!
ReplyDeleteThey are so stinkin' cute!! Love all the pictures!
