No, girls, you are not getting bunk beds

We don't care how piteously you ask, or how often you mash your bodies into the babydoll crib and pretend that it's a comfy bunk bed. The girls have been dying for bunk beds, so they pretend with their babydoll crib Maybe, and that's a huge maybe, when you're 5. But first you need to learn to sleep in the same room without jumping off the furniture and trying to fly. The next time we post, we'll have pictures of two sets of twins. Any guesses where we'll be? In the meantime, here's a quiet, soothing lullaby to send you peacefully to sleep. I jest, please turn down the volume before viewing:

  1. Oh my, the singing and the counting was so cute! I think that is how Emma sings right now where you only understand a few words. So sweet how Ro was singing for her dolls, now that is Mommy love!

  5. Oh...is it over? Those soothing lullabies must have caused me to nod off during the video. :o) SO sweet!

And bunk beds? Heh...nice try girls! Have they figured out yet that with bunkbeds they might also be able to reach the ceiling fan? LOL!! My friend's little girl took all of 0.2 seconds to figure that one out and even after many stern warnings she still came into the room to find her hanging and giggling. Oh no!!! I think you've got the right idea...toddler beds unitl they're...13? :o) Keeping 'em low to the ground your girls of flight!

  6. It has got to be the greatest thing to have every corner of your home filled with the voices and laughter of your girls. Can you even remember when that sound wasn't there?

    So sweet.

In fairness, I got a bunk bed when I was two -- and yes, I jumped off of it a lot. Still, no harm done. And it provides hours and hours of entertainment.

  15. Funny about the bunk beds! We are actually looking at some for our girls, but they are the kind that can be separated into two twin beds. I think we'll stick with the twin bed route for awhile, at least until our daredevil (Mary Joyce) is a bit older.

  17. This is so cute. I love that they were singing to their babies. My little guy got all excited when he heard them sing "Winkle Dar". It is his favorite song.

What about the no-so-tall bunk beds (KURA)at IKEA? I can't figure out a good way to link to it, but if you click on Children's IKEA and then Explore All Rooms (red rocking horse in the picture), it's the one called "Peace and quiet."
