No big deal, and I didn't even give it another thought until TubaDad later whispered, "Did you see who that man and woman were?" I can't believe he was so right and I was so oblivious! Grabbed a quick surreptitious video of them later, can you tell who they are from my dark little video? Heh.

Funny day at the aquarium
Three funny things happened at the aquarium yesterday...
First, while we were all walking to the aquarium, Ree tripped and smacked into the sidewalk so hard that folks nearby gasped. Their gasps quickly turned to snickers when, instead of crying, she immediately grabbed the precious churro she had dropped and started blowing it off while saying adamantly to us "It ok, it clean, I blow it off, I can still eat it."
Second, while we were in the splash zone, Ro and Ree were jostling around with a bunch of other kids at a water play area and a little boy opened his mouth really wide and chomped down on Ro's hand. I pulled Ro out of there and told his mom, "Oh my gosh, he just bit my daughter!" But instead of apologizing or talking to the little boy about it, the lady just looked at me kind of vaguely, shrugged a little, and said "Well he was playing with that toy first..." Wow.

ReplyDeleteMan... he looks old, doesn't he? But yet again, your girls crack me up. Someone needs to tell Ree that the Food Detectives totally disproved the five second rule. Which increases my guilt and ick factor, but somehow doesn't seem to change my behavior.

Harrison Ford was my first guess too... If that's Calista Flockhart in the black sweater than she looks much healthier than her Ally McBeal days.

Today we were at an indoor playground and there were too many big kids (too big for that place, there is a sign at the entrance with the rules, and those kids were too tall for those toys). The security guard asked them to leave. They did, but as soon as the guard left, they returned, with the consent of their mothers!!! Conclusion: we had to leave!!!

JERKS! Some days are filled with them. Glad all the Salsas survived falls, bites, and incredibly rude people cutting in front of children in line, pretending to be greater than thou.

Man, I thought Harrison Ford always seemed pretty rude when he was on late night shows... and apparently he's just as rude in person. Grrrr.
ReplyDeleteGood eye! I had to watch the video a couple of times and still struggled with it. He just didn't look like himself... older I guess. But how RUDE! Oh well... I guess they are people too but how presumptuous! Cutting off anyone let alone two sweet little girls. And the hand biter? UGH! Don't even want to go there. Glad the rest of the day was nice! :)

I only could tell because you gave us all a hint that it was somebody we would know. I've stood in lines at places like the airport and had totally normal talks with people only to be told later, "Do you know who that was??" haha I'm oblivious. People are people to me! But, then there's the Mom of the boy who bites. Geez. What's UP with some people?!?!?
