It started as just a normal Fashion Friday

The girls wanted to pick out their own clothes and then asked me to "Take a peeshur, mama." Pretty standard, and, as usual, I was happy to oblige. Ree thought she'd better take a peeshur too. DSC_1527_1s Ro wouldn't put down her bowl of Cheerios, and Ree wouldn't put down her toy camera. DSC_1539_5s They were both cute. DSC_1541_6s My camera wasn't quite on the right setting, and I don't have time to edit these, so just pretend they're bright, beautiful, color-corrected shots, ok? DSC_1549_7s Fun stuff. Such a light, happy morning. Can't you just hear the birds chirping in the background? DSC_1554_8s But then, right before we left for preschool, the girls changed their shoes, put on some shades, and I grabbed one more picture. Hmmm, this one has a little attitude, doesn't it? No big deal though, I can handle it. DSC_1555_9s Oh crap, then there was THIS picture. When I saw it I thought "Lord help us" and it made me think of the Hilton sisters for some reason. I showed it to TubaDad and he actually stopped typing on his laptop (a rare occurrence) and just kept shaking his head saying "Oh man. Oh man..." over and over. We are SO in trouble when they're teenagers... DSC_1558_10s

  1. Ree's got the start of a leg pop going on. Even without the kissing. You are SERIOUSLY in trouble.

  4. You are in so much trouble!! Can't get over that last pic of Ro and 'the pose!' I'd start buying bars for the windows now cuz you're going to need to lock up those adorable cuties from all the boys comin' a callin!

You might want to tell the girls that Paris is still looking for a new 'BFF' *choke, gag* Maybe Ree will want to try out for season 3 if the winner of season 2 doesn't quite fit the bill. Paris may just have met her match!!

  6. I find it uncanny how these kids can match colors. Your girls seem to do the solid colors. But they all match.
This summer I've started letting my 4 year old pick out clothes. She usually goes with plaid shorts and then picks a solid color top or a solid top with an embroidered design. They ALWAYS match and are usually not shirts I would have picked out, but they do look good! How do they do it? They have skills don't they?

Wrigley's would do well to hire them for a commercial. A little bit of sass could definitely help their brand image!

  19. You'd better hope that they don't fit inot your clothes when they are teens or you'll never see any of your duds again.

They are going to continue to be real fashionistas. Hide your wallets now. It is only going to get worse.

  22. Yes, we often think the same thing!

By the way, as I was making popsicles for the girls yesterday, I remembered you asked where I got the handy dandy straw molds. I forgot to answer when you first asked, but I got them at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

  26. When my niece was two her grandmother told her to stop doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing. She flipped around and rolled her eyes at her grandmother. Like a teenager. She then sighed and turned back around. She's 8 now and still does it. God help her mother (my sister-in-law)
