Fashion Friday (the kids choose their own outfits)

Is it just me, or do these outfits look like ones I would have picked out? Ro and Ree have this outfit-assembly thing nailed—it only takes them a few minutes to pick out clothes now, and they lovelovelove doing it. We kind of rotate back and forth, so they usually pick one day and I pick the next (because I still have so much fun with it). My dad installed a bunch of hooks in their closet this week, so they are having a ball hanging the shirts on the top hooks and the skirts/shorts on the bottom hooks and then vehemently discussing their choices and rationale with each other. Ree is on the left, in fun plaid shorts and a Gilroy Gardens t-shirt that really goes well with those shorts now that I look at them together. And, of course, she's wearing her favorite sandals, which she says "Go wiff everyfing, mama!" Ro is on the right, in a cute pink denim skirt, coordinating tank top, and adorable pink Rocket Dog shoes. They're holding the "intestine" from one of our latest anatomy book purchases, because they said "We need a prop for dee picture, mama!" DSC_4335LR Happy friday!

We have that same intestine at our house, along with about 12 other books. If the obsession continues, we got our daughter (5yrs) the Barron's flash cards and colouring book. Anatomy students use them in med school, but leanne likes to pick a card at random and draw her version of it with her special gel markers. good way to learn parts of the body and get good drawings to save for later. Her version of the cross-section of the male reproductive system had us in tears we were laughing so hard :)
