Is it time for Halloween yet?
The girls are ready.
The costumes have been ordered and are on their way to our house. (Any guesses as to what they'll be this year?) They've gotten their Halloween-edition catalog from Oriental Trading Company and have already looked through it about a hundred times and chosen what candy they'd like to give out at Halloween (it was an intense discussion).
And they have their adorable Halloween outfits ready to show how much they love the holiday (I'm guessing you'll be seeing a lot of these between now and Oct 31). Thanks to our sweet friend Dawn for making these awesome ribbon capris, and thanks to Wela for the Halloween shirts.
Only 46 days left until Halloween — better get your boo on!
(In the pajama pic, Ro is on the left and Ree on the right, and in the Halloween pics Ro is in orange and Ree is in purple.)

What wonderful pictures!!! Your girls are absolutely gorgeous- I've so enjoyed watching them grow up- and they are very definitely looking grown up lately! They are obviously happy and much loved! Thank you for your wonderful blog- it's been so much fun to follow while I wait for our referral (expected this month!)
ReplyDeleteLove those capris! The girls look adorable - and so grown up! I'm jealous that you can order their costumes. Piper has changed her mind four times since August alone and will probably change it again at least once in the next 46 days!
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest Halloween outfits!! How's this...I actually posted my Chinese adopted cutie in her witch costume last night on my blog. We're HUGE Halloween fans. Bring on the candy and decorations!!
ReplyDeleteThose capris are tooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThose capris are too cute. Does Dawn *cough, cough* want to make some for us? Not that I know who Dawn is... or that she knows us... but it doesn't hurt to ask, right? Right???
ReplyDeleteThose pants are adorable!! Can you share where you ordered the girls costumes?? I can't find the costume my dd wants in any stores and I need a good site to order from.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Stace
Well that is just the CUTEST! I just bought a new pair of navy capris and I think I'm gonna make a grown up version of Ree and Ro's pants. These kids are just too scrumptous for words.
ReplyDeleteHey Stace, the best selection of costumes I found online was at Costume Express (http://www.costumeexpress.com/). Eight out of Ro and Ree's ten fave costumes this year were from that place. The two we ended up ordering were from Pottery Barn Kids.
ReplyDeleteThose are the coolest capris I've seen. Can't wait to see what Rose and Marie decide to be. Great pics
ReplyDeleteWe have Super Girl and Aurora... as of this morning, I'm sure it will change half a dozen times.
Gosh, they have turned into such beautiful little girls. I've been following you for so long (although I am sorry that I rarely leave commments) and I just can't believe how much they have grown.
ReplyDeleteI'm with your girls, I can't wait for Halloween either. We'll start decorating in early October.
Blessings, Tracy
"Too cute to spook"
ReplyDeleteI love their outfits!
I am so excited...I guessed Ree was in purple!!!!1 I was right for once!
ReplyDeleteThose capris are adorable....and they are perfect paired with their Halloween T's:) The girls are always stylin!!
ReplyDeleteHave not the foggies idea what they picked....Can't you give us a couple hints?? Whatever they pick, I am sure they will be CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!!
Lisa
Can you tell us how she made the pants or if she would be able to make more?? My little Sofia would love a pair... The girls are so cute as always
ReplyDeleteOf course it is time for Halloween! Emma wants to be a princess this year again and we already have the dress. I think your girls are going to be princesses also this year, am I right? I can't wait for Halloween!
ReplyDeletethose are the CUTEST pants i have EVER seen!!!
ReplyDeleteJust too cute - the outfits too!! hehe!! I have a question for you. The girls have such pretty hair. The way they have the little whispies around their faces remind me so much of my Lizzie's hair. She was shaved bald right before we got her last June and it just seems to be growing so slowly!! Do the girls' hair grow quickly? I am getting VERY impatient!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteDawn needs to open an Etsy store. I'd pay BIG bucks for those capris... and I'd buy a pair in mommy size too!!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are so adorable!! You are one lucky lady, M3!
To answer a few more questions:
ReplyDeleteHalf Gaelic Half Garlic and Mexican chopsticks: They're not going to be princesses for Halloween (although Jasmin and Snow White were heavy contenders), and the costumes they picked are sweet! There, that's two hints.
For everyone interested in the cutie-cute capris: Dawn mentioned before that she's not selling them, but if she changes her mind, you guys will be the first to know. Also, as a little preview: she made the girls some incredible outfits that they'll be wearing for their birthdays. You'll see them in the birthday portrait session that I do.
Annie: Ro and Ree's hair does seem to grow really fast! I've had them in for haircuts five or six times now (any time it starts to look scraggly) and we chop off an inch or two each time to even things up.
Halloween is so much more fun with kids! Love their Halloween outfits...
ReplyDeleteLLOOOVE the capris. Want them!
ReplyDeleteSo....my little guess would be Strawberry Shortcake. (Or may Kai Lan?)
:)
OK, my guess is now going to be the yummy cupcakes. Well, anything they pick and wear will look sweet on them.
ReplyDeleteLOOOOVE the capris! Can't wait to see what they'll be for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteBtw, am SO jealous that 2 of my favorite Cali girls got together over the weekend and I was waaaaay over here on the East coast! :) xo
Those capris are ADORABLE!!! Love all the ribbon goodness and fun! Does she sell these? It would be fun to buy some in the future.
ReplyDeleteSuch great pics of your Trick or Treat munchkins. Hmmm, Hallowe'en costume guess? That one has me stumped!! I'm trying to go the whole pink and yellow theme but the only costumes I can think of are Sleeping Beauty for Ro and Belle for Ree but my guess is that they're not really into the princess thing as much right now. Any more hints mommy?
I'm enjoying your countdown to Trick or Treating but must admit it's for selfish reasons too. As you're hitting the streets for a night of chocolaty, candy, sugary goodness, I'll be boarding a bus and heading to the Changsha Civil Affairs Office to meet Hannah!!!
We're all counting down to sweetness...just a variety of kinds!!
Very cute. I have no clue what they are going to be this year but I'm sure it will be fun.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'll bite. I say it's either the little black kitties or little red riding hood! :)
ReplyDeleteAm I close?
PS are they a duo or two seperate outfits?
EVERY day now my boys want me to check and see if Ree and Ro have a movie. They would like to register their disappointment that is there is none today. :)
ReplyDeleteThose Capris are the last word in cute, your friend is amazing.
How beautiful your girls!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfits!
I LUV these pants!! I wish i was crafy in the slightest so I could make some myself. They are freaking adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are precious!!! God's blessings, Sarah :D
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm thinkin' Dawn would have quite the business order should she decide to sell!
ReplyDeleteTell her Etsy...definitely an Etsy shop!
So cute ... I've got my boo on for Halloween and hittin' eBay hard for cute 2T toddler shirts :-)
Great photos! BUT... you ORDERED the costumes? From OTC? Aaaargh! Am I the last person on this planet who still makes (NOT sews) her kid's Halloween costume??? Oh, well, it's the spirit of the holiday that counts I guess!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos! I have a random question, I'm thinking of buying the baby jogger city classic. I think you had the double? I need a single but just wondering if you'd buy it again? The single is on sale for only 200 dollars so it seems like a good deal/good stroller. Thanks! Ellen
ReplyDeleteHey Ellen, the baby city double jogger was awesome, I'd totally recommend it. Unfortunately, TubaDad and I (as exercisers) were not awesome and we never used it. If someone was actually going to go out jogging or hiking or even fast walking with the stroller, then it was totally worth the money. If someone was (cough cough) lazy (um, like us), they'd be better off just getting a cheapo folding double stroller. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose pants are fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere did Wela find the cute shirts? I love the purple "Too Cute to Spook" one!
ReplyDeleteCtkim: The Halloween t-shirts are from Carters.
