Eating turkey, classic 70s shows, light-hanging hazards, and dancing in the rain

TubaDad is still hanging in there, although his head has really been hurting today and his ribs are still terribly sore. Things have been so hectic lately, there is simply no way to catch up on the blog. So, here are a few quickie collages that give a little peek into what we've been up to (I just point my FotoFusion Lumapix program at the pictures I want and click "auto collage"). 1. Thanksgiving was nice. The girls had a sleepover on Thanksgiving eve at my folks' house. (Which, upon reflection, might not have been the best plan. We're lucky my mom even got any Thanksgiving food on the table with all that extra "help".) Great food, fun hats, and incredibly complicated gingerbread assembly. Thanksgiving2009-000001 2. Christmas preparations are in full swing around here. The girls were thrilled to watch Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (we picked up the Holiday Classics DVD at Target). I remember peeing my pants with excitement when those shows would finally come on tv every year back in the seventies. My little brother and I just loved them. And now Ro and Ree do too. After watching the old faves, they decorated their new color-changing fiber optic Christmas trees for their bedrooms. (Well, actually, Ro decorated hers completely by herself, while Ree put on a few ornaments then flitted around the room and watched Maggie and I finish her tree.)ChristmasPrep2009-000001 3. TubaDad is so sore that there was no way he could get our Christmas lights up. So my parents came to the rescue. I'm pretty sure that Ro and Ree were the two worst helpers in the world. Sorry Dad! ChristmasLightHelpers-000001 4. Oh, and these are old pictures from about a month ago that I found when I was hunting for the Thanksgiving ones. The girls LOVE rainy weather (so do I). The minute a few raindrops appear, they race to find umbrellas and boots and dance their way out the door. RainyDayNov2009-000001 Oy, that was a lot of stuff! Maybe I'll stay caught up now. Cheers!

Looking at your pictures, I can almost feel the joy that is happening at your place. If we lived near each other my daughter would love to play with Ro and Ree. From everything you say they are so much alike!

  12. Beautiful collages full of so many happy memories! Love all the looks on your adorable kiddles faces! Heh....so happy they were able to 'help' BobBob hang the lights. I think I had a heart attack just looking at the pics here so can't imagine being there in person.

Hope TD is beginning to feel better.

  13. What version of LumaPix are you using, Extreme, Enhanced, or Scrapbook. I have been thinking about getting it, but have been doing most of my stuff in Photoshop Elements. Do you have Adobe Lighthouse too? Do you recommend?
