I shouldn't have laughed, I know I shouldn't have
About a half an hour ago, I asked the girls to clean up the playroom and then went to fold laundry and watch some season 2 of Grey's Anatomy (the whole DVD series was a Christmas present from TubaDad).
Well they just came into the family room looking extremely serious, and Ree said "Um, mama? About the cleaning up? We are just not into it." And Ro shook her little finger at me and said "No, no, no," then Ree added "It's just not gonna happen today."
And I burst into completely inappropriate and very unhelpful laughter. Damned funny little shirkers.

I have never left a comment on your blog but I have been a lurker for a long time now. I just have to say that I LOVE reading your blog. Your girls are just too precious and you & Tubadad seem like you are loving life with them. I loved your party idea for New Years. My husband and I are first time parents and I pray that we can be just as fun as your family!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2010!

Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAlso I love that new masthead! Another great one.
ahahah these 2 have me in hysterics, isnt it just too funny the things our little ones can say:)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you have no idea where they've heard those comments. Way, way too funny. Thanks for sharing. Elaine
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is hilarious!!! I hate it when your child(ren) do something so wrong that is so funny you can't help but laugh.
ReplyDeleteDid they have to clean the playroom or did they get a pardon?
Yeah they got a pardon... :-) I'll pitch in and we'll all clean the playroom this evening.
ReplyDeletehysterical. 4 going on 13.
ReplyDeleteSo funnee! This just made my day! :)
ReplyDeleteYep, all discipline is out the window once you start laughing. I used to do that with my boys.
ReplyDeleteThey are too funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd your response to them was?
ReplyDeleteI love the LOL moments...those are the best!
ReplyDeleteM3, you really need to capture things like this on tape and send it in to AFV and i am sure they will win !!!!Seems like they are saying or doing the funniest things, keeps me laughing. I love to see your family having so much fun!! Keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteThat IS funny! Gracie pulls the same thing but she "negotiates"... "Mama, how 'bout if I play with my dollies and you help me clean?" dead serious face. Your girls are hysterical!
ReplyDeleteAt least when they grow up they are going to remember their mom laughing, not yelling. And really what matters more then that?
ReplyDeleteAnd Grey's on DVD is the best ever after-the-kids-go-to-bed-treat ever! I just started watching season one agin! Have fun!

ReplyDeleteyeah, i've come back three times to read it....
Oh my gosh, too funny!!! I would have laughed too and then made them clean up but laughing the whole time!! LOL!! I must admit there are many days that I say the same thing to myself - just not gonna happen today!! Haha!!!! LOVE the Carter's PJ's too!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! And they're probably thinking, "Why? It's just gonna look like that tomorrow anyway!"
ReplyDeleteLittle stinkers.
that's too cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a riot! I'm sure their statements were made with very serious faces too which would only had added to my laughter.
ReplyDeleteHave a great 2010!

Oh, I loved that!! Sometimes laughter is inappropriate in certain situations, but when they're that adorable... well, what can you do? :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny. Made even funnier bc its YOUR kids not mine :) Gotta love it when they come up with these comments!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! LMAO...awesome. Just awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, oh dear. There's trouble brewing. Double trouble!
ReplyDelete(I'm laughing too 'cause I remember doing all sorts of similar things with my twin. )
:)
I hope you never stop your blog or go private as I would so miss my little Salsa fix. Your girls so make me laugh!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's an unwritten rule that one cannot discipline one's children if they made one laugh. Which is why I couldn't say much when the Tongginator told me "I was NOT rolling my eyes... I was making rainbows with my eyeballs." And it's why I suspect that playroom stayed a tad cluttered yesterday. *grin*
