Well, TubaDad and I are now clinging to our “early forties.” Apparently next year we’re officially in our “mid forties.” Is that even true, or can you claim early forties until 48 or so? Anyhow, the back-to-back birthdays were good. We had a fun dinner at the folks’ house on TubaDad’s bday, then had dinner at a fancy restaurant the next night for my bday. Oddly enough, none of us were happy with the fancy restaurant, so we declared a redo and went out to the Fish Market the next night. Ahhh, much better. Yeah, it is all about the eating (well that and not having to cook for three days in a row – yessssss!).
Normally, this would be where I’d plop in a few pics of the birthday boy and birthday girl. But you know what? We didn’t take a single one of us. Gah! Must remedy soon. In the meantime, I’ll just toss in a few cute shots of the girls that don’t have any dang thing to do with either of our birthdays:
TubaDad and the girls got me a Silhouette cutting machine for my bday and it’s pretty cool looking. I say “looking” because, well, frankly I’m a little intimidated and don’t know where to start. Any suggestions for starter Silhouette projects?
PS: If you need one of these candles, we get the three-packs from here. Also, Ro is in the dress and Ree is in the purple pants.
Note to self: find purple kitty flats in adult women's size 7 1/2.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, you spring chickens.

Happy Birthdays! I just realized that now that I can tell the girls apart I can even tell them apart in the very first picture you posted together in China. Now I can't figure out how I didn't see it before. lol.

They are just too cute! Love Ro's face when the candle lit up :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthdays!
Happy Birthday to all. I got a Silhouette for Christmas and have been a bit unhappy with it. Since no one around me has one to compare I am having lots of trouble with it. For one thing I had a faulty blade. The company has since replaced the blade and now it seems to be doing better. Good luck with yours and let me know if you can do intricate things with it. I find this to be the hard thing. Big stuff is fine but curly fonts seem to gouge. I am sure it is just me but not totally sure. Let me know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Aquarian Birthdays!
ReplyDeleteMy mother has always said that you're in your early forties until you're 49 and 364 days. So you still have a few more years ahead of you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you!
You are officially in your mid-forties until you are 48. OR, you could do it by George Clooney math, in which you will be in your mid-forties INDEFINITELY.
ReplyDeleteI own neither the Silhouette or the Cricut, but you know I proficiently borrow them from my friends. Start anywhere. Just cut anything. Mess around on a non-project. I did that for hours one night. Fine cutting just takes patience and a little practice and playing with different weights of paper. It gets easier until midnight, at which time everything gets hard and the damn thing won't work. It also won't work in the am before you've had a cup of coffee.
Congrats! Enjoy! I can't wait to see the neat things you make with it!
Happy Birthdays!!!! Love the singing, the candle and the new header too!!
ReplyDeleteOops...forgot to say Happy Birthday! So glad you got 3 dinners. That's how it's DONE!

Happy Birthday friends!!! That candle is amazing! Hmmmm....might order a set of 3 and hope that they make it in time for the 27th. If not, dad will have quite a surprise on his cake March 10th!
ReplyDeleteThe girls singing is adorable. Love how they both change the tune with the exact same notes. Sweet!
Ooooo...what a great gift! You'll have to crack it open and tell me how it goes. Hmmmm, might be the encouragement I need to finally open my cricut and make a banner for Hannah's birthday! Race ya! :o)
