Our lovely spring weather has been rudely interrupted by a cold front. The icy temps and rain haven’t stopped for days.
Oh well, it’s warm and toasty inside. We watched Beauty and the Beast this morn (just delivered from Amazon) so both girls went with a Belle theme as they got dressed. Ree was thinking “early Belle” and chose all blue with a faux pearl shirt and her hair back (she also carefully pulled her socks up reallyreally high so they showed above her boots, but I’m noticing one slipped down for this pic, which is going to irk her). Ro went for a yellow theme with a nod to Belle’s famous yellow dress. She’s wearing a summer WelaWear dress, but put a yellow cardigan under it for warmth (I guess) and her beloved silver pants (which always look vaguely astronautish if you ask me).
Sweet girlies. I have a migraine so I’m missing out on classroom volunteering today for the first time ever (bleh). Hopefully the Imitrex will knock it out soon, because we’ve got big plans in the city with family and friends for Chinese New Year tonight and tomorrow.
Happy Friday!
I just found your blog last week in my BlogHer sidebar ad, and I am in love with your family (in a non-creepy way)! I decided to go back to the beginning and read your story, and I have gotten to October 2007 ... I'm working on it! The girls are so beautiful, and it's very obvious that they are happy, wonderful girls.
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE Fashion Friday. I cannot wait to do the same with my little girl! :)
love that dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tangled comes out at the end of march--:) a must buy!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSO Cute!
ReplyDeleteHope that you're feeling better soon and have fun with the family this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAw, hope you're feeling better soon. The girls look adorable - I'm always impressed at how they can dress themselves pretty darn stylish. Keep the pics coming and hope the weather warms up again soon (for us and you!).
ReplyDeleteWe are in SF for the CNY parade and I was really looking forward to some nice weather. In Houston it has been miserable. Of course when we get to the Bay Area, it turns nasty. We are hoping that the rain will hold off for a while. :oP
ReplyDeleteRo and Ree are becoming more and more distinct--their tastes, their expressions, the way they stand. Ro reminds me very very much of my own dotter, who is also very exuberant.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! Migraines suck dead toads...
Darling fashion choices! I am in love with that beautiful skirt.
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of CNY celebrations today and I cannot imagine doing that with a headache, so I hope you are feeling better.
Here's to better weather. You must have gotten more of it than us.
Long time reader. Love your blog. I dont think I ever saw one of the girls with her hair all up. It looks so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures.
ReplyDeletePraying that you are feeling better!
My daughter is in the parade this year (I'll be in the back of the group). I'll keep an eye out for you!. She's with Jose Ortega ES. All the kids will be twirling lavender umbrella's with rabbits painted on them. There are least 5 china adoptees in the group :>
ReplyDeleteIf you head up despite the rain, I can recommend the 2nd floor of Macy's as a great place to watch. We were over to the right last year. We got shooed away from the big glass windows in the middle, but they let us hang out on the sides. Enjoy!
Love the outfits. Maylin watched Beauty and the beast for the first Time last week. We went south for the weekend to be warm but the cold front found us too.
ReplyDeleteHope the migraine gets better soon.
This is laurel. On my hubby's iPad. Not sure who I am logged in as.
SO cute! I hope your migraine goes away in time for the celebration fun.
ReplyDelete:) I'd love to see how finding nemo inspires them?!!!
