I snuck the telltale mouse-ear logo onto our roadtrip menu, to see if any sharp-eyed folks would catch it. Heh.
The girls could hardly wait to enter Disneyland, bolting ahead of us and calling “Come on mama, come on daddy, HURRY!!”
(Ree fuschia top, Ro yellow top)
First stop, Rapunzel’s castle (as if there was any doubt). They tried to sneak a peek into the first castle they came to, but the darn windows were impassable. Thank goodness Disney is twinado-proof:
The line for Rapunzel-in-the-flesh was mind-bogglingly long (2 hours? seriously?), so we decided to grab some food at what turned out to be a character breakfast. I had to laugh, though, that the girls are SO disinterested in anyone not wearing a princess crown right now. Character after character came to our table and Ro and Ree barely spared them a glance between bites. They humored me with one measly snapshot, which I’m only posting because of Ro’s “this is not a princess so why am I standing here” face!
We rode a few rides, then got word that the H Family had arrived! A slew of text messages flew back and forth, and finally we were both in the same place at the same time. The four girls (H2, S2, Ro, and Ree) came together like they’d seen each other yesterday and there was immediate hugging, talking, hair stuff, and I don’t even know what.
These girls just get along like a house on fire:
The hand holding KILLS me. Every time. I see it and melt. And then I grope around for my camera, which for some stupid reason I always put away thinking I’ve taken enough pictures. Someday I’ll learn. I did have the camera out for this one funny shot of the two dads squeezed into the Toon Town coaster behind all the kiddos. Hee!!! They’re both good sports:
“Mama, do the princesses come here to get gas?”:
Anyhow, funfunfun day of rides and hanging out with our friends. Next posts: “Doing Disney with the Aussies” and “Disney Twinvasion 2011”!
PS: Our ARM & HAMMER $100 Visa giftcard giveaway is open until 6/11.
I should have known it would be Disneyland with the Mickie ears! My brother is an executive at Disney and I always tell him about your adventures there and he smiles :).
ReplyDeleteFinally a post:-) Of course I have been keeping up with pics from D2.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all had a ball.

Hey Anonymous... the next time we plan the Twinvasion, your brother could give us some special passes in return for all the excitement the three sets of twins create... the number of double takes by guests and staff (including the princesses) was priceless.
ReplyDeleteM3: I love the picture of the two dads. We look so comfortable :-)
Yay! A Disney post!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the hand holding pic melts me! And the dads...heh! Good sports for sure!
Glad you had such a great time. Already looking forward to your next post!
The hand holding pictures remind me of China. All the girls seemed to hold hands, and it IS just the sweetest thing.
ReplyDeleteTo D2:
ReplyDeleteHow are sweet Valerie and Reggie? Jackson sends his regards. I wish they allowed Corgis at Disneyland. Maybe if I could get him to allow Corgis I could get tickets for all of us!
Your girls are starting to look alike again just when I was getting the hang of telling them apart! I love when both sets of twins are together! -Janny
ReplyDeleteThe boys look SO comfy on that ride! Of course that photo sets the stage for the fabulous photo of all the men with Ariel on Saturday. Keep those posts a-comin'!
