Isn’t this how you look/sound at Target?

Ran to Target tonight because I needed a dish drainer for the laundry room (our only downstairs sink at the moment) and this was my soundtrack.

In other remodeling news, this was our first day without a downstairs toilet (it was demolished while we were on vacation), and I got a freaking leg cramp on one of the many bathroom trips up the stairs. !!!!!!! Unbelievable. I can’t decide if it’s more of a bummer that I pee so often or that I am so out-of-shape. Gah! TMI, I know, I know... Maybe this will be a good weight-loss strategy – move everything we need (including all snacks) upstairs. We could call it Remodel Stairmaster!

That is so much like our trips to Target....too funny. The other day, the girls sang a song from Children's Choir from one end of the store to the other, at the top of their lungs, all the while skipping and dancing. This is the same song mind you, that when they stood in front of the church, neither of them sang one word!

BTW, we also often shop in princess costumes and we ALWAYS spend time in the dollar aisle. LK & E loved this video and asked to watch it over and over :-)

    1. Whoever came up with that dollar aisle idea is a genius. Ro and Ree can spend (not even kidding) an hour in that aisle. Just the promise of one dinky item from the dollar aisle brings about instant good behavior during a shopping trip.

  5. OMG. Do people just stop you? You must have had a full audience by the end. They are CRAZY CUTE!! Great. Now you've talked about pee'ing, so you know I'll have to go pee.

    1. They do laugh at (with?) us quite a bit. The singing was nothing this trip though, you should have seen the couples grinning and gasping with laughter when the girls spotted the lingerie aisle and ran around yelling "Bras, mama, BRAS!!!! LITTLE BRAS! Do they have our size? Look over there? What about this one?!" at the top of their voices.

My girls love the bras, especially the padded ones! Last time they picked them up and said "nipples nipples". My mom was with me and we tried not to laugh, but couldn't help it.

  6. Love this! Mine is exactly the same way! No kiddie songs for him either! He is usually belting out Luke Bryant (Country Girl Shake It For Me) or LMFAO (I'm Sexy and I Know It). Yes, we do get strange looks in Target. He will be 3 in a couple weeks. :)

  8. OMG!!! Tears are streaming down my face from laughing so much. And yes...my girls do the same thing. Just introduced them to Adele so it's either Rumor Has It or Rolling in the Deep...while wearing either Sleeping Beauty dresses or butterfly ones.

  9. OMG, they are too funny and totally adorable!!! I am sure they had quite an audience while shopping at Target. The costumes were the perfect touch!!!

It is amazing to me how the pick up the words so quickly. Sarah could hear a song once and she will know it word for word!!

I will try to make you feel better about your leg cramps...... I decided to dust off the treadmill after it had been sitting for far to long. I worked in a gym full time years ago and did crazy amounts of exercise in a weeks time.... but that all changed when Sarah and Reagan came along. Not much time for the gym.... anyway, decided (after viewing old photos of myself while helping Nick with a project) I really needed to get back at it. So week one I decide to do try to do it every other day. I did a few miles at a time. That Saturday I decide I am going to run for 6 miles....... ummm, yeah, my old body did not like it very much. I had issues walking and my feet were killing me the next day. I muddled through it and after a week of limping around I went to the dr...... Torn ligaments. Getting old stinks...... I guess my body cannot do what I did when I was 20 and 30:(

  13. I always wear my pretty princess outfit to Target! ;)

  14. Hilarious and oh so cute!! They carry off the princess dresses beautifully as always.

Had to giggle at the quick banter about the tiara at the end. So much to choose from and they both want the same thing.

  15. I can't show this to my daughter because I'll have to bear the "why can't I have a twin/sister" wallow. Not that I blame her - watching your girls makes ME want a twin - or at least to see my sisters. They do however hate it if I sing in stores. Enjoy the bliss.

  16. I'm more of a lurker, but I just wanted to say that the ending was hilarious! "Ree, where did you find that?" "I won't tell you." They crack me up!

  17. Alvin and the Chipmunks singing Lady Gaga and Katy Perry songs are our current soundtrack. All day. Every day. Wherever we go. My 5 yr old watched your video and said, "I wish YOU picked TWO babies 'stead of just me!"
