The sun was hiding today, so we played inside. Busted out my grandmother’s art box and a couple of canvases that had been gathering dust in the garage and the girls went to town with “real paints.”
It’s kind of neat to think that this wooden paint palette has been used for about a half of a century:
Has there ever been a fiercer painter than Ree? The girl takes her art seriously:
I'm impressed with their painting ability. Please share the paintings when they are done with them.
ReplyDeleteWill do! They'll probably finish them tomorrow or Saturday. It looks like Ree is almost done and Ro is about halfway done.
DeleteI'm so impressed with the details the girls have in their pictures! They're both beautiful and so artistic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics mamma!
Now we just have to figure out where to hang them.
Delete:-)
And I need to buy more paint - they were totally getting into mixing their own colors and blasted through all of my white.
Frame those! What kind of paint were they using? Those are vibrant. Oils?
ReplyDeleteThese ones were acrylics. The girls thought they kicked butt over the watercolors we usually give them. ;-)
DeleteGreat Job Girls!!! Looks like maybe fairies???
ReplyDeleteYep, fairies for Ro, and hm not sure for Ree. That big yellow flower in the middle of hers is that fireblasting tree we tangled with earlier in the week.
