For the teacher who loves the movies:
Fill one of those new big buckets of microwaveable popcorn (the popcorn kernels are in a bag lining the bottom inch of the bucket) with pretty tissue paper, boxes of movie candy (Goobers, Milk Duds, Red Vines, etc.), and a Fandango theater gift card or two.
* I got all of this stuff, including the Fandango cards, at Target and put them together for a class gift. Put in multiple Fandango gift cards and a gift card for dinner before the movies if you’re doing a class gift, or use one Fandango gift card for an individual gift. The popcorn tub is a little over $2 and candies are on sale for $1 each right now.

What a fun gift! This would be great for any movie lover! Have you smelled the new Yankee Candle that is called Movie Theater (or something like that)? They were giving out coupons at the movies today.
ReplyDeleteFunny, no I haven't seen that candle. I'll have to check it out.
Deleteomg I bet the 3rd grade teachers will be hacking the computer system to make sure one of the girls is in their class in September.
ReplyDeleteNaw, they're probably just cheering that we're keeping our (extremely) excitable girls in separate classes for third grade. ;-)
DeleteWhat a great gift idea! Love practical gifts and that's a winner for sure!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea! I am a teacher and I'd be SOOOOO excited to get this thoughtful little gift!
ReplyDeleteI hope she loves it too!
DeleteI love movies, and I think Fandango cards make the best gift. Cute!
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty dang handy, aren't they!? I like being able to use them to buy tix online for really popular movies too - then you can just zip in and your tix are waiting.
DeleteThanks M3! Another great idea. You totally helped me out because AS USUAL, the end of the year snuck up on me. I ran out and did the same thing for a couple of our teachers, only I purchased Redbox gift certificates online instead (and printed them out). Keeps the movie theater theme in home.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! Glad to help.
DeleteThank you for being the mom that goes the extra mile to show appreciation for teachers.
