Ro and Ree are ready to pop from the excitement. Ree skipped all the way to school.
(Ro left, Ree right)
It’s Pajama Readathon day, so they only brought backpacks to transport their horde of books, blankets, stuffed animals, and food.
TubaDad had to be at work by 7 today, so he didn’t get to see them off and called during breakfast only to be told “We’re really in a hurry because we had to spray all that pink hair.” As any seasoned dad of girls, he didn’t even question it.
I made these little buckets ‘o summer fun and had them waiting on the front porch when the girls got home from school. They ripped into them gleefully!
Happy last day sweeties!!! Bring on the summer fun!!!
I cant believe they are going into the 3rd grade. Where did all the time go? I remember when you got the phone call that you were getting twins! I love what they decided to bring to school. It looks like a sleepover.
ReplyDeleteI can finally tel the girls apart. it looks like Ree has a slightly fuller face.
I know, isn't it crazy?!! I was just working on blog books from 2005/2006 and the referral was in there. Sure doesn't seem that long ago...
DeleteAnd yes, absolutely on the fuller face for Ree!
You are definitely the fun mom. I bet the girls are delighted to not have to go back for 2 months.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for 5 months and I still can't tell the girls apart! lol.
Yep, they're giddy. Shoot, so am I!!!
DeleteM3 you are such a fun mom... Can I be one of your girls too? Tate will start Kgarten this fall. I will have to REMEMBER all your amazing ideas for kids and teachers.
ReplyDeleteShe's starting Kinder already?!! Ahhhhhh, so fast. They're all growing up, aren't they? Little sweeties. I told the girls they're not third graders until the day school starts again, for now they're "former second graders," heh.
DeleteWe were LID May 22, 2006. I found your blog and have been checking in regularly ever since. I remember thinking how cool it was you got twins. When we were matched with twins in November 2010 I went back and read your blog again. My girls will be five in August and love looking at your photos.
ReplyDeleteAw, your sweeties are so cute! Congrats to R & R on the pre-K graduation, and happy summer!
Deletewhat are your summer plans?
ReplyDeleteSleep in every day for starters! :-)
DeleteA few fun half-day camps for the girls (circus, video game design, fashion design), one big family trip, a girls' trip to Tahoe, camping with BobBob and Wela (the girls, not TD & I), visitors from the North, and more...
Don't forget lots of sleeping in and watching tv!
DeleteIt was so satisfying to turn off that alarm clock and delete all of my school alarms on the phone today. Ahhhhhhhhh. The girls want me to go find a cheap alarm clock at the dollar store that we can smash with a hammer (they like to stay up incredibly late and then sleep in SO late).
Deletetry free cycle for an old alarm clock
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea with the baskets of goodies to celebrate the end of school. Love the bubble pics. Have a great summer.
ReplyDeleteYAY - Summer!! What fun!! We're counting sleeps too until our first vacay of the summer! (only 20 more sleeps!!!)
ReplyDeleteLove all the books and stuff they took to school to celebrate! Those baskets are the best! Guess I know what I'll be doing at lunch today since Hannah's last day of preschool is tomorrow. *sigh!*
LOL...just read your comments about sleeping in. Heh...note to self - ask where the van keys are before going to bed the first night. Jet lag is a killer! You'll find us at Tar-jay!
Do you want me to send you the little graphic for the tag? It'll save you a minute or two, then grab any ole container (sand bucket, straw hat, summery purse) and a few fun things from the dollar bin or dollar store. The things the girls loved the best were the flip flops, Velcro disc-and-ball catch toy, bubble wands, and little kiddie makeup.
DeleteLove it!!!
