I don't even know what to say right now I am so proud of all the adoptive moms out there that I just want to cry. I've been so busy at work that I almost didn't notice this massive controversy brewing on Blogging Baby. The writer wrote a flippant offensive article basically saying "what's the diff" between a Kentucky woman illegally selling her baby and Angelina Jolie who "paid around $13K for her new [adopted] baby." And then, when people objected to her article, she made it worse by comparing adopting a baby to buying a piece of roast beef!!! Hello????
So the cool blogging adoptive moms out there went to town in the comments section. Check it out. Figlet, JenEx, Mortimer's Mom, Karen, Michelle, they're all there and they are smart and relentless and GOOD! So good, in fact, that the writer later wrote "an apology to the adoption community." Yesssss! Ladies, thank you for standing up for adoptive parents (and kids) everywhere. You all deserve a standing ovation.
