Damn, it's only been a few days and Bobby and Jane's brand new dog is already broken. That's right, sweet little puppy Harley (we introduced her on the blog a couple of days ago) just had surgery. Here's what happened:
Bobby was out walking with his new best-girl Harley when she lunged at what she thought was a cute little ball. It turned out to be a piece of evil
Cholla cactus. (
If you've never touched one of these babies, count yourself lucky. They're lethal!) Harley ended up with a mouth full of barbed spines and had to be taken to the vet to have one particularly persistent one removed. To make a long story short, the vet got the spine out but broke Harley's hip in the process.
Nice... A new vet performed surgery the next day and now Harley is recovering. She won't be able to walk outside by herself for four weeks, so nurse Jane and murse (male nurse) Bobby are on constant vigil. Can you believe that?!
They're pretty depressed, so I thought you guys could send them a little love in the comments section to cheer them up. Maybe some good jokes would help too? Bobby loves a good joke.
