Need a cute Christmas present for a toddler?

These sock monkey shirts, made by Morfs and sold online at Target, are new faves in the house. I grin like a fool when I see the girls wearing them. Can you blame me? They have attached long sleeves made of the same knitted sock material as the monkey. Could Not Be Any Cuter. It was pouring rain and a little chilly here today, and the girls were warm and snug in their little shirts. Making some beautiful artwork (Ree left) Getting ready to doodle on Wela's coffee table (Ro left) Ree concentrates on tracing Ro's hand The picture I would have killed to have, by the way, was the sight that greeted us when we returned to my folks' house after dropping the ailing Nikon D300 off (yet again) for repair. Apparently my mom was NOT letting these new shirts get stained on her watch, so before she gave the girls a messy lunch she cloaked their arms in saran wrap. Hee!!! It worked like a charm, but dang was it funny looking. Oh well, I'll just have to remember the image. We got a new purse camera while we were at the store, so it should be charged up and ready to capture priceless moments like that one in, oh, about four hours or so. Note: If you order a shirt from Target, or anywhere online actually, don't forget to go to retailmenot.com and search for a coupon code first. The savings are awesome.

  1. Now those my friend are adorable! Heh...the arms are just too cute. After all those cameras in the last post with the girl's own photo crew it's surprising to think the 'arms covered in Saran' missed out on being captured. Oh well, I'm sure it will happen again as these shirts are sure to get lots of wear.

OK...going to give it a try...Rosie in brown, Marie in red??

  3. I have to order one for my little monkey. Just wonder what color to order.
I also like to go through ebates. You get cash back from shopping online. It isn't much but better than nothing. I also belong to Sunsine Rewards and shop through their site too. If I order online I want to at least get back something!
Thanks for the cute shirt idea.

  11. The shirts are very cute! But I've noticed if I pay like over $10 on clothing for the kiddo, it is ruined in the first wearing. I'd need to wrap her from head to toe with saran wrap lol

Love the shirts -- definitely will have to order one for my resident monkey.

Do you know about ebates? Free to join -- just go to www.ebates.com and register. When you shop online go there first and follow the link to the store you want and you get a percent credited back (for instance Target is 4%)and you can still use coupon codes. They send out checks every few months.

If you do register you can plug in my e-mail address seainca@verizon.net and we'll each get $5 credited to our account. Or just register. I'm not sharing so I can get $5 -- just like to pass on a good bargain. I've gotten $150 back since last christmas.

Love watching the girls grow up!

$40? Really? I think those shirts are super cute (especially with your beautiful girlies in them) but I just cannot make myself pay that much for a shirt that will probably have a ketchup stain on it in less than a month :). I do love them though!

I'm right there with you! $40 is way too much for a shirt for a toddler, no matter how 'cute' it is.

  20. Well, there is one little munchkin that I know who will have a cut little monkey shirt and pants. She loves monkeys so much and has a monkey shirt that is getting pretty worn out and she will soon have outgrown it. Thanks for the tip. Couldn't find the coupon though. It said it was expired or something...DARN.
