Some beautiful referrals on a beautiful fall day
A thousand congratulations to these proud parents who are gazing at their daughters' pictures for the first time today:

10. And Willow Makes Three, Jiang Ye Yang (surname), born 3/01/07, Guangdong province, LID 2/16/08
Awwww, they are so sweet! I haven't posted referral links for a long time, but Ro and Ree are taking an extra-long nap today, and so many good friends are in this group that I just HAD to share. There must be more LID days in this batch, right? If you know of any other referrals please tell. Congratulations everyone!
Note: The Chinese format for names is to list surname first, then first name, then middle name. I'm assuming that's the format for most of the above names, but I only called out surname if the parents did because I didn't want to guess. Also, I still haven't seen any other LID dates than 2/16/06 and 2/17/06, which means this was such a tiny step forward for those who are still waiting. My friends who are still waiting, my heart is with you.

So strange to see referrals for the LID day. It's the day we left for China to get Ryleigh...so long ago. The parents certainly show great amounts of patience, but boy is it worth it!
ReplyDeleteSUCH an exciting week!!! First, the election, and now referrals. AH! Lauren Elizabeth is from the same SWI as my daughter! I remember a little over two years ago (April 27, 2006 to be exact)popping onto your site and seeing MY daughter's referral reported. Such good memories. This has been one celebratory day for many reasons. :-)

Thanks, M-M! Wow......what a feeling referral day is!!!! We feel so blessed and are in LOVE w/ our RUBY!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this info. Even though our Elia has had a fmaily for almost 3 years now I still get teary eyed as I read and see the hearts of those who wait and then get their pictures and soon their little ones. There is absolutely "nothing" like this in the whole world. And everyone reading this knows exactly what I am talking about.
ReplyDeleteWow, it dawned on me that 4 of these bloggers you follow and linked to have kiddos from the same orphanage. That should be interesting!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the new families. Today is our two year anniversary as a family and I just did a post on that! Happy Days are wished for all of you.
ReplyDeleteHi M-M
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting our referral photo for Syri(Shi Yi Lin). It has been a long 2 1/2 year wait but following your girls has definitely helped pass the time. We have 13 families in our travel group and yes quite a few are from Yulin. If anyone out in Salsa land has information on this SWI please send me a message at: http://patiencelesson.blogspot.com/
Thanks,
Joanne
Fun post! One of those (Kaelie) is the daughter of a dear friend of mine from Georgia. We are so thrilled that they have finally seen their little girl's face!
ReplyDelete*sigh* I love referral day!
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely devasted... it only appears 1 and a bit days have been allocated.
ReplyDeleteI'm being very selfish though...we've all waited so long to see these babies ~ I guess that's one consulation!!!
It's GOOD to see referrals again! Hopefully things will speed up here soon..
ReplyDeleteI don't post often, but wanted to say that your girls are adorable and I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for sharing!
