The fashionistas strike again

Are they getting bolder in their outfit choices, or is it just me? Today I sent my dad upstairs with Ro and Ree to help while they picked their clothes. He came down shaking his head and muttering something about patterns on patterns. Heh. I'm a pretty boring khakis-and-white-t-shirt girl myself, but I actually really liked their bold combos. They must be softening me up... (Ro in pink shoes, Ree in multi sandals) DSC_2554_2s Yesterday, I had to laugh that they chose complementary shirts, then both accessorized them with their own personal styles. The look on Ro's face as she squeezes the stuffing out of her sister cracks me up as well. DSC_2511_4s These outfits were quite fashion-forward as well. The girls had color schemes in mind while they put these clothes together, or so they told me. Ree said she wanted to "yook yike Mickey Mouse" and Ro said she wanted "All fourf of July colors." Purdy good, little girls. 8/2/09 Ree and Ro wore these outfits to my folks' house, and you should have seen the smiles they got there. If you want to see a few pics from that day, including the hike/bear hunt they went on with my folks, they're here. PS: I have a whole slew of pictures that I'm playing catch-up on, hence the battery of posts lately. I'm going to bed now, so this'll be the last one—promise.

  1. So cute!! The new doo is so cute too with the cute little knot piggies but it looks like Marie must just have escaped the Bear and it got her piggies.

My fave is the one of your mom surprising the girls and jumping at them! I can hear the squeals and giggles from here. :o)

Also love the one where Ro is tickling your mom with the weed as they're walking. Oh so fun!!

  2. Cute, cute, cute. I can't wait to have a little girl that will love to create interesting outfits. Whenever she does, I'll always be thinking of you guys.

  3. They look stinkin adorable. And I am now requesting another hair tutorial... the hairstyle in that last photo. We've adapted your five small ponytails one - even twins Cinnamon and Spice are now sporting that do, especially when we head poolside. But the bun one... how'd you do it? And remember, I flunked hair.

  7. I love their choices of print on print! It can be difficult to put prints together and have them look good. They have a great sense of style. I think they will be artists of some sort when they grow up.

  10. I second the motion for the hair tutorial. I tried to do the "loopy ponies" but the ends of her hair were sticking out all over. How'd you do it?

  11. OMG! Ree's outfit certainly does need sunglasses or one could be blinded by so much color on one little girl! Too funny. Such a sense of her own style. Good for you to let them have fun.

Also love the "Mike Wysowski" socks.

    Hilarious!
