It's Fashion Friday, time to look back at the recent outfits the kiddos have styled by themselves. This set of Fashion Friday Fotos cracks me up... The girls seem to be in a wild phase and are assembling outfits that are so crazy and cute. Here are a few memorable ones from the past two weeks:
#1: These outfits went to preschool and I think they're pretty fun. Ree went for all yellow (which is notable only because she's been saying that yellow isn't her favorite color any longer), even coordinating her stuffed animal with the clothes. Ro declared that her favorite color wasn't pink any longer (big lie) and chose an all-purple outfit to try and prove her point. I like the layered tops and the purple bandana leg warmers.
#2: For the next set of outfits, I was delighted to see the girls venture into new color/pattern schemes. Ro went with her red Olympic tee and red shorts, which was pretty normal I guess, but felt the outfit needed a little jazzing up and added mismatched legwarmers (the new multistripe and Wonder Woman ones I just bought from BabyLegs). Ree grabbed a bright blue floral top, then added pastel floral bike shorts, and grabbed the mates to Ro's legwarmers. I just grinned to see them, and so did everyone at preschool.
#3: On this day, the girls didn't disappoint again. Ree went for a crazy-wild bold striped scheme, and Ro chose a floral shirt, dotted skirt, and hot pink shoes that went with her outfit and also matched her sister. (They were getting final licks of icing here before the cakes disappeared.)
#4: Today, the girls put on their Halloween costumes from 2007 (their first costumes ever) and are ready for anything. We're going to a little friend's birthday party in an hour, and it isn't a costume party (although I guess it is now). But they rejected the cute party outfits I put out for them to wear, and insisted this was the way to go. Oh well.
Here's the first time they wore the costumes, by the way. They had just turned two years old, and it was their first Halloween at home. Could they BE any cuter?!
Cheers, and have an awesome weekend!

Aren't ALL October parties costume parties? (And Wonder Woman? *flashback* I had Wonder Woman Underoos.)
ReplyDeleteOh look how they've grown! They are too cute!
ReplyDeleteI echo what Sandra said. Look how much they have grown! Must be all the chocolate :).

ReplyDeleteI love what they come up with--and adore you for letting them be creative and make decisions. Your blog was one of the first adoption blogs I stumbled upon when we first decided to adopt, and I'm still enjoying following the adventures of Ro and Ree--we should be bringing home our baby girl from Ethiopia in the next couple of months.
ReplyDeleteI love baby leg warmers! They have great deals on them on ebay! Like under $4 a pair!
ReplyDeleteThe costumes are so sweet. I love that you put the photo of them wearing them years ago... It is crazy to see how much they have grown. So cute!!!!
That pic ot the girls when they were 2 is just too cute!! Love all the fashion statements and love the fact that you let them happen:)
ReplyDeleteOh my....at almost two, they couldn't possibly have been any cuter!
ReplyDeleteThose costumes are adorable and so funny this year. Ro and Ree are two wonderful free spirits (thanks to their mom) who will not live dreary inhibited lives, worrying that they must do exactly what the Jones do because of what others (gasp!) may think. We should all try to be more like them.
ReplyDeleteToooo cute!!! ^^
ReplyDeleteThe sweetest and coolest girls ever! *love*
Ahhh- love the then and now halloween costumes! Our Dragonfly girls sure have grown.....
ReplyDeleteRo and Ree are just adorable. I love all of your posts. You are so creative and so are they.
ReplyDeleteI love that you allow them to have their own individual style! So cute! Love those baby legs!
ReplyDeleteFun pictures as always! I love that you let them choose their own clothes and even let them wear costumes to a birthday party!
ReplyDeleteDid someone make the princess cakes for you? I'd love to make her one like that for her birthday!
Oh my gosh if they are not adorable and such fashion icon's...so so cute!!!!! I love the leg warmers...I may need a pair for myself *wink*
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I'm going to snap off a picture of my kid's wacky color combination. Don't you love their sense of fashion! There's a diva in all of us!
