Since today was our first day of spring break we all slept in. Ahhhh. Well at least until the first contractor rang the doorbell. Then I ran downstairs in my pink fleece pajamas, said “good morning – please let in anyone else who knocks” and ran back upstairs to at least brush my scraggly teeth.
The girls were pretty dang happy to loll around in bed all morning eating Kix and watching cartoons. They did rouse themselves enough to go see the Easter Bunny after lunch, which was great except that she went on break just as we reached her chair. Argh!!
See her (I thought the bunny was a him, by the way!) making a quick escape? Oh well, the girls wanted to wait, so we hung around (mostly in Old Navy where – sorry TubaDad – the girls found three little tops they adored):
Today was the day a small army of people descended on our house. Our electrician warned us that we’d be inundated with people and man he wasn’t kidding. At one point we had two general contractors (working on installing the new hood vent ducting), our cabinet guy (who says the window isn’t in quite the right place – da da da dum), and six electricians. Whoa. There are workers, holes, ladders, pieces of sheetrock, and tool bags everywhere you look. And of course dust.
Oh no do they have to move the window???
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...!
DeleteWhoa! That is a small army! How fun to capture all the action!
ReplyDeleteHope the window is just a minor glitch!
Love the girls Easter Bunny dresses!! What happened to the two little babies screaming on Santa's knee?
They laughed when I took all the pictures and then got all their names and wrote them down. Hey you have to know the people helping you out, right?
DeleteThey have to move the window?! Happy Easter. Hey! Maybe one your many helpers IS the Easter Bunny. I say this because my Kelly thinks it's NOT the one at the Mall. She's pretty sure that was a mouse. ??? Kids are so funny!
ReplyDeleteMight be!
DeleteThe workers were pretty cute with the girls being home all day Friday. These tough contractors kept an eye on our peeps and made sure they didn't run up any ladders or run through the construction zone without shoes. And when we got home from the mall, two of them went up to the girls and said "Hey, how was that bunny?!!" Nice guys.
cute picture! what are you doing to contain the dust?
ReplyDeleteEverything possible. ;-)
DeleteIf you have any BTDT suggestions, please please share!
