TubaDad and I aren’t as fast as the girls (much to their chagrin), so for tonight’s walk we brought in the family runner (BobBob), along with Wela and Uncle Bobby.
Hm, it didn’t look promising at the beginning:
But BobBob stuck with them on the hills:
And then he proved that he had more endurance:
But he was pelted with bunnies for his supreme efforts.
I had to laugh when the girls took off running the other direction to pick flowers and TubaDad tried to air count them from a distance (didn’t work):
We did manage to stop the girls long enough for a fun grandparent shot (they’re wearing their latest WelaWear, by the way):
And then we slowed down the walk a bit (phew):
Showed BobBob and Wela what bunnyball was all about:
And headed for home:
I wish I had the energy of you dad and the talents of your mom!
ReplyDeleteHa, me too!!
DeleteHappiness is being with Ro and Ree and of course their parents, too :)

Love the last picture & of course Wela's latest creation!! She is my inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is gorgeous! So sweet!
ReplyDeleteFun (and exhausting) walk. Precious family memories you\re building for your kiddos!
Get ready Catherine -- we do the walks every night! I'll bet Hannah will love PJ walks.
DeleteI smiled the entire time reading and looking at this post!
ReplyDeleteyour mom and dad ROCK!!!!!! what can't your dad do???? and your mom really needs to open an ETSY store cuz my girls would LOVE some of those dresses... and I don't sew clothes;)
ReplyDeleteThat last one is awesome! That will be even more precious to you, I'm sure, in the years to come. What a beautiful place to walk!
ReplyDeleteI love your family! That last shot of your parents is a keeper :)
ReplyDeleteThat's it. I've got to, got TO make some Welawear. It looks so comfy. For the girls, yes, but for me too!
ReplyDeleteLori, hit up your local 2nd-hand stores to find old t-shirts with prints. They simply don't make/sell that fabric near us. You'll want the 100% cotton non-stretch, thick -- the kind they make guys t-shirts out of. Oh, and my mom finds alot of the cool detailed tops (for the upper part of the dresses) at Walmart, Target, or Kohls.
DeleteHow sweet! I love how happy your family is to spend time together. It is delightful!
ReplyDeleteI love that first pic where you can see "stop" painted on the ground yet you can see the action of the girls running. Totally hillarious!
ReplyDeleteThat cracked me up too!
DeleteI don't post much but that is the sweetest post ever. I love the last picture. Thanks for sharing.

Is that Wela wear on Etsy yet? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSadly no... she says she just doesn't have time. You will see new dresses for the 4th of July (Ro, Ree, and Hannah). She's sewing madly on those before a month-long antique car trip.
DeleteGreat pictures! The second-to-last one makes me miss my home in the East Bay even more. Connecticut (where I live now) is beautiful, but there's something special about those Bay Area hills!
ReplyDeletelol at the air counting. Haha. That view is just ridiculous. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi BobBob and Wela!!! You have some awesome walking paths, M3!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet your parents holding hands. The girls are cute as ever :?
