First roadtrip of the summer

And it’s a good one! TubaDad can’t get away from work this week, poor guy, so the girls and I loaded up our trusty minivan and headed for Tahoe on our own.

Ahhh, we made it!

The family cabin was waiting for us. A little dusty, a little bear-pawed, but always fab in its 70s a-frame, green-shag carpeted, orange corduroy style.

The girls had a lot of fun setting up a wood band (similar to a rock band I guess?). Oh, and see the two thermoses in that pic – last time we saw both of them together. One has vanished.

Yummy dinner at Lake Tahoe Pizza Co – they make the best thin crust!

Then a lot of playtime at the lake. Tallac park, this time. Love that place.

No they don’t sit down much… At least not till the end of the day, then it’s game time. Phew. Hey Bobby, do you remember playing this exact Hi Ho Cherry-O game back in the day? It’s still a good one.

Yeah, I took a lot of photos of the girlies. So what else is new? At least I snuck myself into a few of them this time, right? I’m stopped briefly in the McD’s parking lot for free wifi to upload them. No time to edit and fix, we’re off to the lake for a picnic lunch. Cheers!
