The girls just had their last day of school for the year. First grade is now officially over and summer has begun:
Here’s what they looked like on the first day of school this year:
And here (for posterity) are their official school pics. First Ree in her sweet fall pic, then her spring pic with new short sassy hair:
And Ro’s fall pic with a bit of those self-cut bangs showing and a cute very-Ro smirk, then her spring pic showing off that first lost tooth:
Little sweeties. It sure does seem like the school year has gone by fast.
We’ll be heading to the pet store this evening to pick up the girls’ chosen prize (goldfish) for walking every single day to and from school this year. It was kinda fun in the beginning, then we realized we might actually make it the whole school year without driving, and then basically you couldn’t have paid us to get in the car that last month – we were on a mission! Also, Ro had perfect attendance this year (Ree missed one day), which is funny because I’m kind of a stickler that they don’t go to school sick or feverish or anything – I guess their immune systems were just crazy healthy this year.
Bring on the summer! Ahhhhhh.
Woo hoo! It's summertime!!! Enjoy, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLook how your cuties have grown and moreso, matured.
LOL! Gotta love the boots in June!
Here's to a great summer filled with lots of fun, friends, swimming, dancing, travel and more!!!
As that first photo appeared I was so shocked that they dressed so conservatively for their last day but as I scrolled it down I was giggling at my initial thought. I love their style.
ReplyDeleteCatherine is right, they look so much more grown up now than at the beginning of the year. Yikes.
Happy summer.
Ha, you're right, they actually look conservative from the waist up. Funny!!
DeleteHappy summer to you to!
Wow, looking at that photo I guess they are off to college next year! Love those recital pics in the last post too. What fun.
