That old turtle will live forever

That green turtle pool we got when the girls were babies still makes us smile. The temps climbed above 80 this week and the trusty old turtle was dragged back onto the lawn.

(See pics of the girls and the turtle throughout the years.)

  2. They are too cute; love the one where you see their backs with the wings!!! And a great purchase, the turtle - I had to buy a new inflatable pool about every year. Have you heard anything new about Ree's arm yet?

    1. The ortho confirmed that it was a broken humerus but did say that the elbow was good (they were worried about the elbow xray in the ER). No cast on a humerus, so she has to wear a sling and no physical activity for 3 weeks.

Looks like a little thing like a broken bone isn't going to stand in the way of lots of fun :-)

The wings on their suits in the later pictures are so fun! Your girls live life to the fullest, don't they?!

We bought the "turtle" over 30 years ago for our son, who is now 36. We alternated between filling it with water and sand. We especially appreciated that it had a lid (shell). So glad to see that you are still using yours. :-)

  5. And here I thought Easter was over and you are posting pictures of 'hams' and turtles on your blog. Go figure.

It is the bounty of memories the turtle will make. Tip of the hat to you.

  6. I am seriously jealous......we are not having any warm weather this "spring" in the great northeast or up-state New York!

Wow they are looking so grown up and adorable as always! Your backyard is soooo amazing! Did you ever get a chance to post their new bedroom - wasn't sure if I missed it. Enjoy the nice weather, Cathy

  10. Do ro and ree do any sports? They have some killer abs haha. Maybe it's because of the angle, but do they do gymnastics or anything?

    1. They DO have killer abs, LOL, I have serious ab envy all the time! The only sport they're doing right now is horseback riding. They used to do gymnastics, but not right now. I think they're just incredibly active - never ever sit down and always climbing. Their shoulder and back muscles are pretty crazy too.
